Playdate with Grandmommy!

My Grandmommy (Harper's great grandmother) came up to play last week. She and Harper had the best time playing. In a deep conversation.
"Mom - you can quit taking pictures any day now!"

Sweet girl

I just love this sweet little smile. She is at such a fun age. Keeps us busy!My dad's nurse gave Harper this Doctor's kit when she was first born. She just pulled it out of her closet and started playing with it. Maybe a future nurse or Doctor??
What a difference a year makes - here is Harper with the toy when she received it.
Jeff's mom lives in Delaware and gave Harper this Phillie Phanatic last year when the Phillie's won the World Series. We pulled it out again because the Phillie's are going to the World Series again! Jeff says his favorite time of the year is now - post season baseball for the Major league.

Rearranging the Furniture

Harper decided to use her high chair as a walker yesterday.
Such determination.
Here's a funny video.

She enjoys entertaining herself while I'm busy in the kitchen.

So close

Harper is getting very close to walking on her own. She has still not taken any "unassisted" steps - but I know it will not be long. She is very quick while holding on to both of my hands. Patty gave her this fun little walker for her birthday. It took her a while to get the hang of it - but now she just cruises around using it. Enjoy the videos.

A nice night for some football

This season Harper and I have not been to very many of Jeff's football games. OK - so up until this weekend we had only been to half of one. Harper goes to bed now at 6pm so it's pretty challenging to make a 7:30 game. On Friday night my parents and sister came in to town to go to the game with me. With 4 sets of hands I thought we could handle Harper. I knew that we would be out really late so I put her to bed at 5:30 for a little pre game nap. I got her up at 7:15 and we headed to the game. She was tired but we kept feeding her snacks to keep her happy. Papa bought Harper a little Longhorn to go with her UT Cheerleading outfit. I think he is already trying to convince her to go to UT. She is in a UT outfit - but she does have on a Baylor sweatshirt over it.
Heather, Abigail, Carol and Harper. The Diamond's are such sweet friends to come to so many of Jeff's games. They live near the stadium so during football season this is about the only time that we get to see each other.
Harper and her daddy at half time.
Papa trying to keep Harper's hands warm with his gloves. A little too big.
Harper is not walking by herself yet. If you hold both hands she will take a few steps. My dad had fun helping her walk. What a difference a year makes...Check out this post from this same game last year.
Harper loved the half time show. She was very intrigued by the marching bands.

Hook 'em Horns

I know, I know....I'm a Baylor grad so why is my daughter dressed up as a Longhorn cheerleader? My dad and his entire family all went to UT and my sister is a Sophomore there right now. TX vs. OU is always a big game in my family to watch. My parents and sister were in town today so they all enjoyed watching the Longhorns beat up on the Sooners.

Harper wasn't very excited to see Papa and Aunt Carol leave today.

Birthday Parties times two.

This weekend was full of birthday parties. Yesterday we went to Mackenzie's 2nd birthday and today we went to Holice's party. Lindsay held a fun Mickey Mouse themed party. The kids had a great time playing with each other and eating yummy food. Mackenzie wasn't too excited when we all sang Happy Birthday to her.
Kate and Harper playing.

Not sure what this face is all about but it's pretty funny!
Harper is too busy to look at the camera.
This afternoon we went to Holice's 2nd birthday party. We had a nice time visiting with friends and celebrating with Holice.
Harper enjoyed checking out all of Holice's toys.
What a great idea - fill a little swimming pool with plastic balls. The kids loved this.

Harper, Kate and Macie chillin in the balls. I would love to know what they are "talking" about here.
What a beautiful afternoon to be outside.

Mommy's Helper

I've never really enjoyed grocery shopping. In fact - I dread it and usually put it off until we absolutely have to go. Add a one year old to the process and it really makes exhausting! Good thing that Wal Mart is a big place and noisy because Harper managed to pretty much fuss and scream while I raced up and down each aisle hoping not to miss anything on my list. She was fine once we got home and enjoyed helping me put away the groceries. She looks really excited about these green beans. Too bad when I try to feed them to her she isn't this excited!
