Security Blanket

Walker's snack trap is like a security blanket for him.  He won't put them down.
I think that swinging the baseball bat might be a little easier 2 handed.

snack break after each swing.
I missed Harper while she was gone all week for Spring Break.  After school one day we headed to Dairy Queen for free ice cream cones because it was DQ's birthday.

These two are going to be trouble some day
Loving our patio cover so we can enjoy eating outside.
Even though the weather is nice during the day, as soon as the sun drops down at night the temps drop.  Taylor and I were pretty cold by the end of this game.  We played cross town rival Flower Mound.  The game went into extra innings (7 extra innings - so 14 total!) and it wasn't over until almost midnight.

School pics for Miss Harper.

Grapevine Arboretum

One day during Spring Break when Harper was gone I took the boys to the Grapevine Arboretum. They enjoyed just wandering around the grounds and exploring.

Spring Break with just the boys

With Harper gone for 7 days - it was quiet around the house with just the boys.  OK - maybe not quiet but more peaceful and less arguments. The weather didn't really cooperate so we just mainly hung around the house and relaxed.  Grannie Sherman was in town all week staying with Jeff's Dad.  They came over each day to visit and watch the boys play.  Grannie loves baseball so she was hoping to catch a few of Jeff's games. The weather was too cold for her to go out on Tuesday night so she and Bill watched the game online and babysat the kids while I went and froze at the game.
We enjoyed having Ariana over to play several times with the boys.
Playing a little duet.
Shopping with this one is never a dull moment
Towards the middle of the week the weather started to warm up so we could get outside and play.  We took Granie to our favorite park
Mom drove straight back from Louisville to our house on Sunday and arrived at 1 a.m.  Monday morning the boys were pretty excited to see their sister.

Harper's Spring Break Road Trip

My mom took Harper on a road trip for her Spring Break.  They had a blast all week.
They left on Sunday and drove to Branson, MO first.  They stayed in the timeshare and enjoyed shopping, eating and seeing shows.  They saw several different shows including the Dixie Stampede and a Chinese Acrobat performance.
They played games and went to a butterfly garden.
They left from Branson on Thursday morning and drove to St. Louis. They went up in the Arch and did some sightseeing in downtown.
Then they headed on to Louisville, KY where my sister lives.  They enjoyed more games, crafting, making homemade pizzas and more.

My cousin, Devon, who lives with Carol & Andrew right now.
Mom left Louisville after church on Sunday around 12:30.  She drove straight back to Texas and arrived back home around 1 a.m. on Monday morning.  Harper slept the last few hours of the trip and was up bright and early on Monday morning ready to go back to school.  She had a great time and will have lots of fun memories of her trip with Mimi.

The Mound Showdown

Jeff's baseball season always starts with several weekend tournaments before they get to District play.  The first tournament was in Georgetown. The kids and I did not make the trip down with the team.  The weather ended up being pretty bad down there and they only played 3 of their games. The next weekend we hosted The Mound Showdown.  The team played 4 games in 2 days.  Papa came to town to catch some baseball games.
After nap snuggles.
Mimi stayed home with the kids while dad and I froze our rear ends off at the game
Saturday we played a day game.  The weather was a little warmer than the night before so the kids came. They brought a huge bag of art supplies and enjoyed spreading out all of their crafts in the batting cages.
The team went 3-1 on the weekend and are off to a great start this season.

Another Snow Day!

Today we had another snow day. I'm over this weather. Kids were home from school. At least the sun was out and they enjoyed playing in it.

They were pretending that they were at the beach.  The snow was very powdery. They got out all of their sand toys to play with.

Helping Daddy clean the snow off of his truck.

This one DID NOT like the snow at all.
He was much happier when he was inside.
