Bull Riding and Armadillo Races

Last night Jeff and I attended our Team In Training 20th Anniversary Party. As you all know, I've worked for Team In Training for past 5 years. Last night was a celebration of the last 20 years and how much we have raised for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - over $800 Million!!! Our party was at Eddie Deen's Ranch in Downtown Dallas and it was a blast. We had over 350 people attend. There was a yummy BBQ buffett dinner with peach cobbler served out of a 3 foot wide skillett.

An evening at Eddie Deen's wouldn't be complete without real live armadillo races!!! Quesa Dilla won the race that we watched!

Here's Jeff and I sitting on the mechnical bull. We didn't think that it would be too wise to have me actually ride the bull .

Once I climbed off, Jeff last a few seconds on the bull!

Here's me "Pretending" to ride the bull! Overall, the evening was so much fun and a great time to catch up with volunteers from the past 20 years!

Baby Sherman is a

It's a GIRL!!!!
We went to our 20 week Doctor appointment yesterday and found out that Baby Sherman is a GIRL! We are so excited! Jeff made the sonographer go back and check several times before he believed her. All of you who voted BOY were a little off.
Here's a few of Baby Sherman's first pics:

She's flexing her arm muscle and waving at us!

This one is hard to tell - but it's the proof that she is a GIRL!

We can't wait to meet Baby Sherman - only 20 more weeks!

After our Doctor Appointment, we drove to Greenville (half way to Paris) to meet my parents for dinner. We wanted to tell them in person. We didn't want to just come right out and tell them so we made them play a game to find out. First of all, we filled three small baby bottles with pink, blue, and white M&M's. Then wrote out "It's a Girl" and tore each letter into a different small piece of paper. I then crumpled each letter up and mixed them with the M&M's in each of the baby bottles.

Mom and Rebekah got the first two bottles. They dumped out their M&M's and started trying to figure out the puzzle.

Here's Mom trying to cheat off of Rebekah...

What they didn't know was that mom's completed puzzle said "It's a Boy"

and Rebekah's completed puzzle said "It's a Girl".

Of Course they were a little confused at this point so we then handed the third baby bottle to my Dad and said "Majority Wins!" The first letter that he pulled out was a "G". So he knew immediatly that his puzzle was for "Girl".

So majority won!

Baby Bump

Several of you have asked to see more pics of Pregnant Sarah. Well - here are the most recent. These were taken today. I'm 19 weeks pregnant in these pics.

There is definitely a baby bump now. I had to go buy some maternity pants and shirts this weekend. I hate spending money on clothes that I'm only going to wear for a few months. Oh well. Only 2 more days until we find out the sex of Baby Sherman. Based on our poll looks like over 70% of you think it's going to be a BOY! We shall see....

Take me out to the Ballgame...

Jeff is right in the middle of baseball season and I have made it to a few of his games so far. Yesterday was a beautiful day for baseball! Here's a few pics of his Centennial Titan's in action.

Coach Sherman calling the plays from first base.

This was the first game of the season that all four Coaches wives were at the same game. We were proud of ourselves that we made a good showing for our men. I hope that the weather stays pretty like this. I can deal with 75 degrees and sunny!

Our Crazy Hobby!

Hello Friends!

It time for me to step up to the plate. All of the previous posts have been from my PREGNANT wife Sarah. As some of you might know I am a baseball coach in Frisco, TX (Centennial High School). Right now we are at the turn of our district play and we are 4-3 (3rd place) and 10-7 on the season. Enough about what I do.....

As most of you know (mostly girls) Sarah is due in August. However, next week we find out the sex of our baby. YES - EXCITING NEWS PEOPLE!! What I want you to do is guess the sex of the baby. BOY or GIRL of course...(guys you can play along too). We want your input...Well, because we love you!

Ok...if we were not having this child we would be getting ready to leave for Arizona this week. For what - you might ask? A little event called IRONMAN ARIZONA . Yes I did said "IRONMAN"!!!! In case you don't know, Sarah signed up to do this race last year....(before Baby Sherman). But Doctor's orders - NO Ironman for baby Sherman.

Some of you might know what an Ironman is so here is one that I did in 06' ENJOY!

And here's Sarah's Ironman race in Florida.

Be sure and vote for the sex of Baby Sherman on our side bar.
