Coloring
I've tried to get Harper to color with crayons but she really only wants to eat them! I found this little art kit today that has "Color Wonder" markers. They are great because they only mark on the special paper that came with the markers.

She was more concerned with putting the lids on and off the markers.

I think she will eventually get the hang of it.

Playtime with Mycah and Taylor
We have enjoyed catching up with friends recently. Baseball season is always crazy and then Jeff has been busy with camps and summer league games the last few weeks. It's nice when we do get him home for an evening together. This evening we had over the Merchant Family. Justin coaches with Jeff at Centennial. They have two little girls named Mycah and Taylor that were so sweet with Harper.

I think it's night night time - what do you think?

We are enjoying having Jeff home for a little while this summer.

New Friends
This weekend while we were at Coaches Outreach we met some great Christian coaching couples. One of the couples in our small group actually lives in Anna which is pretty close to us. They came over for dinner tonight and the kids had a great time playing. Their little girl Addie is 5 and Doak is 2.5. Addie came dressed in her tutu so of course Harper had to go find hers so they could dance together.

Doak got caught in the middle of the girls dance party.

Such sweet noise on the piano

6 little hands trying to play a trio.

Doak waiting patiently for the girls to finish so they could go play outside!

This is the reaction that I got when it was time to take the tutu off!

It's so fun to watch kids play together. Addie decided that they would collect leaves and bark from the tree to make a pile to jump in. It's not exactly fall yet so there pile was pretty small!

Harper trying to shake some more leaves off of the tree.

The pile is growing slowly.

We are so thankful that we met our new friends. We look forward to spending more time together with them!

Coaches Outreach
This weekend Jeff and I had the privilege of attending a Coaches Outreach Marriage retreat at DeGray Lake in Arkansas. Coaches Outreach is a wonderful ministry that offers bible studies for the coaches during the school year as well as these summer marriage retreats. It was such a blessing to be surrounded by 100 other Christian coaching couples. The weekend was filled with a fantastic speaker, wonderful music, yummy food, and great fellowship.

Our friends Dave & Ashley have been several years before and they invited us this year.
Saturday afternoon we spent time out on a boat. I took pictures from the boat while the guys swam.

We are enjoying have Jeff home a little more this summer. It's a nice break for him and for us. Today we all went to the pool and had a great time.

Summetime
It's definitely summer time here. I feel like each day it is getting hotter! I wish that my car had a good rear air conditioning system in it because poor Harper gets the left over air from the front seat. She is such a trooper.

We are so thankful that our new neighborhood has a community pool. I'm pretty sure that we have already gotten our money's worth out of those HOA dues!

Playtri Triathlon
Sunday morning we headed out to Las Colinas to watch the Playtri Triathlon. My college roommates, Natalie & Michelle, were both racing in the Sprint. I would have loved to be racing with them, but don't think that would be a good idea considering that I am 5 months pregnant.
Here they are getting ready to start the swim.
Notice the "No Swimming" sign where they are swimming.
