Girl's Weekend at the Lake

My friend Karyn has a family lake house out in Marble Falls.  Several friends and I managed to arrange childcare for all 20 of our kids and slip away for a few nights.

Saturday morning we ate at the famous Blue Bonnet Cafe!

We enjoyed relaxing out on the porch overlooking the lake.  The peace and quiet was heavenly.  

Thankful for sweet friends to do life with. 

MCA Chili Cook Off and more baseball

Our 2nd weekend tournament had great weather and so the kids and I went to most of the games. Tournaments are nice because some of the games are during the day. 

Thursday night we had Chili Cook Off at MCA.  It's a huge fundraiser every year at the kids school.  The theme is Once Upon a Time this year so all of the teachers really got into character.  

After Chili Cook off we left and went back to the baseball game for another game. 

Quick Trip to Paris

The kids had a 4 day weekend in mid February so we packed up and headed to Paris.  Jeff was busy with baseball so it was a perfect time for us to get away. The kids took their magnatiles and those kept them occupied for hours. 

We enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend away. 

Brody Student of the Month

At MCA they name a Student of the month from each grade level.  Brody received this special honor in January.  His teacher had lots of great things to say about him

One Thursday evening, Brody headed to Frisco with me for one of Jeff's games.  It was freezing so we bundled up and grabbed hot chocolate on the way to the game.  

The next afternoon the weather warmed up enough to have our ice cream cones outside.  

Daddy Daughter Dance and Valentines Day Parties

Jeff and Harper went to the Daddy Daughter dance at our church.  This is an event that Harper looks forward to every year.  They make it such a special evening.

While they went to the dance, I took the boys on a date to Braum's for cheeseburgers and milkshakes. 

All three kids had Valentine's parties at their schools.  Walker was up first.  

Then I headed to MCA for the big kids.  The parties were at the same time so I bounced back and forth between both of them. 

Mimi helped him create his batman box for his Valentines.  

Harper had an ice cream sundae bar set up in their classroom.

That evening Mimi came over with goodies for the kids.  Mommy and Daddy escaped for a date night also. 

Baseball Season is Here

Baseball season is here again.  I had this cute shirt made for Harper to wear on game days. The first part of the season is crazy with scrimmages, long double headers and three weekends of tournaments.  We always manage to push through and see daddy when we can. 

The first tournament weekend was hot!  I was in a tank top and shorts - in February! We never know what the Texas weather will throw at us. 

The tournament was over in Frisco at Centennial High School where Jeff coached before moving here.  We saw some old friends at the game.
