New Years Eve in the Stockyards

After Rylee's birthday lunch, we headed down to Fort Worth for the afternoon.  We started in Sundance Square where the Christmas Tree and decorations were all still up. They were prepping for the New Years Eve Festivities that would occur that night.
Starbucks coffee  / hot chocolate stop
These two are two peas in a pod
We left Sundance Square and headed over to the Stock Yards. We explored the area and then waited for the cattle drive down the main street.
So cool to see the Longhorn walking down the street in front of us.
After we left the Stockyards, we headed over for an impromptu New Years Eve dinner with our dear friends the Droogsma's and Masowich's. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and letting the kids play while we talked.  Somehow all of the kids ended up at the mom's table. The dads were at the table next to us.
All the girls!  Love these precious friends of mine.

Happy Birthday Rylee!

Our cousin, Rylee, turned 4 at the end of December.  Her choice for her birthday lunch was a yummy Hibachi restaurant.  My kids had never done this before so they enjoyed the experience.
Trying to figure out the chopsticks kept him entertained for a long time.
These two are so cute together.  Rylee is 6 months older than Walker.
Cousins!
Jeff and his sister, Rhonda.

Holiday In The Park - Again

We gave the kids season passes to Six Flags Over Texas for Christmas this year.  We went again between Christmas and New Years.  It was still super crowded but the kids had fun.
The kids had fun on the sledding hill.  Don't think these Texas kids had ever been sledding before.
I think we are really going to enjoy going this year.  The kids are a perfect age and can ride a lot of the rides.

Christmas Week in Paris

We all stayed in Paris for a couple days after Christmas.
The kids enjoyed crafting with Aunt Carol.
The guys had fun shooting their guns out by the pond in the back of the property. Jeff used his artistic ability to draw targets for them to shoot at.
One afternoon the weather was nice so we all hit the Trail de Paris for some exercise.
The kids got tired of riding their bikes so Papa & Mimi ended up carrying them back to the car.
The train tracks run close to the house so the kids love stopping to look for trains.
Papa & the kids built a fire and we roasted smores.

Movie watching in town
Shooting off rockets with Papa
Some of the parachutes might have gotten stuck up in the tree.  Thankfully the pool net was long enough to get them down.
Unfortunately, the last rocket got stuck up in the tree that was way too high for us to retrieve it. Papa sure did try though.
Lots of memories made in Paris with the family.
