Cutrell Christmas Nativity Play

It's Cutrell family tradition to reenact the Nativity Story every year when we all get together for Christmas. The kids each pick a part and we have a narrator who reads while we all act out the story.  My mom has a huge box of costumes and some of these things have been around since I was little.  They are vintage!
Walker the Shepherd
Brody the wiseman
Harper the Angel
Finley a sheep
The three wise men from the East
Jeff had to step in for Joseph at the last minute...without a costume.
My cousins and I use to do this every year and know it's our kids acting it out.  So many fun memories.

Christmas Morning Part 2

The kids are at a fun age for Christmas Morning. They loved opening presents and got so excited about each one.
Harper got another "American Girl Doll" from Grandmommy.
We took breaks throughout the day and played games in between opening presents.
His new tractor.
Brody was the Air Hockey Champion
A little Twister!
Tool Time with Aunt Beka
Doing a little rainbow loom with Mimi
Dr. Brody giving Daddy a check up

Christmas Morning Part 1

Christmas Eve we packed up and headed to Paris.  Jeff's dad and Grannie made the trip with us as well.  Was fun having them in Paris with us for a few days.  We attended the Christmas Eve service at my parent's church.  The kids were so excited about Christmas morning.  They woke up at 6 a.m. ready to see what Santa brought them.  We managed to keep them upstairs until 7 a.m. when we could get the rest of the adults out of bed.
Santa brought Brody a basketball goal and Walker knew exactly what to do with it.
Checking that Santa ate all of their cookies they left out for them.
Brody got a T-Ball set but Walker was more interested in it.
Santa brought Harper a new pink scooter!
Our little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Walker wasn't so sure about who was under that mask
Not many Papa's have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume in their closet. This was his Halloween costume this year.

The Week Before Christmas

Brody missed a few days of school the week before Christmas because he had the flu.  He was in Paris for the weekend and he got sick while he was there.  We decided it was best to keep him there separated from the rest of the crew here so we didn't spread the germs.  Brody and my mom both started taking Tamiflu and were better in no time.

We slipped away to Fort Worth for the night to celebrate our anniversary a little early. My parents kept the kids and we enjoyed several meals out without kids and a night away at the Omni Hotel.
We got back to our hotel room after dinner and found this fun surprise.
Jeff's dad and I took the kids to a Marcus Basketball game. They have a brand new arena and it's so nice. The kids had fun.
Grandad treated us all to Starbuck's after the game. The kids loved the hot chocolate.
Walker's is just water.  He didn't know the difference.  He thought he was so cool drinking out of a big cup like the big kids.

School Christmas Parties

Brody came down with the flu while he was in Paris last weekend.  We decided to keep him there in isolation from the rest of us to see if we could keep the rest of us from getting the flu.  Mom was a trooper and took care of him for 4 days while he was sick.  She took Tamiflu also to keep herself well.
Brody missed two days of school but managed to go back on Friday just in time for his Christmas performance and party with Santa.
Grandad came to the performance with me.
My middle man
His class did a book exchange.
Harper's class party was on Friday as well.  They got to wear pajamas to school and had a yummy pancake bar set up with all the toppings. Sugar sugar and more sugar.
