Meeting Aunt Rhonda & Uncle Bill

Rhonda and Bill came to visit yesterday and got to meet Brody for the first time.

I love how Brody is checking out Uncle Bill

Our failed attempt at getting a picture of the kids with their Tech hats on that Rhonda & Bill gave them.

Fun at Mimi & Papa's

Finally a pic of Harper in some Baylor green and gold. My BU friends were starting to wonder if I lost my mind by dressing them in UT and Tech gear.

Working outside with daddy

Getting ready to help Papa repair the fence

Learning to use power tools.

After they worked on the fence all morning they rewarded themselves with a little fishing. I use to fish with  this Snoopy rod when I was little.
Harper loves being outside at Mimi & Papa's house.

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm so thankful for time that we get to spend with family. We packed up the kids and headed to Paris for the holiday weekend.  Brody is being spoiled rotten by being held all the time - looks like I'm in for a treat when we get back home!
Brody meeting Grandma Jane, his 101 year old Great Great Grandmother!
Snuggle time with Papa
Aunt Beka and several others in the family are trying to make Brody a Longhorn already.

Harper playing her new Dora game with Grandmommy.
The future Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Sunner!  Yup - my sister is getting married!
Only Mimi can get these cute smiles out of Mr. Brody
Not sure what Harper is trying to do here

Meeting Mama

My Mama Cutrell lives in Sulphur Springs and we drove by her house on the way to Paris for her to meet Brody.

Playtime

Last week we took Harper over to the Village at Allen to play. The weather was perfect to let her run around and play in the trains and little houses.

Five Weeks Old

Brody is five weeks old and doing great. Can't believe that it's already been five weeks since he made us a family of four. He really is a pretty chill baby - still just eats and sleeps all the time. He weighs 11 pounds already so he is doing good in the eating department.  I nurse him about every 3-4 hours around the clock.  Hopefully this will start to stretch out a little more.

He likes to sleep on his belly and has already rolled from his front to back. We love this little guy so much!

Natalie's Shower

Friday night my college roommate, Sarah, came up to the house and babysat Harper while Jeff and I went out on a little date. We enjoyed our outing. She spent the night and then Saturday morning we packed up and headed to Mansfield for a wedding shower for Natalie.  Brody was nice to us and slept the whole way there.

I love these girls!!

Can't wait to celebrate Natalie's big day next month.

Christmas Lights

The Village at Fairview is a new outdoor shopping center that is close to our house. They have an outdoor fountain that kids can play in during warm weather. During the holidays they have a cool light show set to Christmas music. We decided to head over there after dinner last night to see the show.

Harper loved the show!

After watching the light show we walked over to see the big Christmas tree.

Can't believe that it's already this time of year again!

Play dough

Harper has recently taken an interest in play dough. I have to watch her carefully because she has already tried to eat a little bit.  This is one of the activities that Harper does while I'm feeding Brody.
I picked up these animal flash cards from the dollar section at Target.  They provide a few minutes of entertainment and learning each day.

We keep all of her coloring books in this one box and she loves pulling everything out to find the one that she wants to do.
