Walker's First Day of Preschool

After watching Harper & Brody get up and go to school every day for a week, it was finally his turn! We changed Walker to a new preschool this year that had longer hours that matched up with the elementary school schedule a little better. He loves his new school and has several friends in his classroom.  His assistant teacher is one of my good friends also.  

Some of my mom friends all celebrated after dropping that last kid off at preschool by spending the day in Karyn's pool! 

Rodeo Time

Saturday night we headed up to Denton for the North Texas Fair & Rodeo. The kids had never been to a rodeo before and they loved it!

The next day was Harper's actual birthday.  Sunday morning birthday pancakes were in store.  

After church we met Aunt Rebekah and Rex at B.J.'s for lunch.  

We are glad to have Aunt Rebekah back in the country so we can see her more often.

This year we decided to not hold big birthday parties for each kid.  Instead I grabbed a few of her friends and took them to breakfast at Swirl Bakery. They giggled, giggled and giggled some more.

First Week of School

When the big kids went back to school I had to keep Walker busy with friends so he didn't miss his playmates too bad. 

MCA does a Kinder Kamp the first week of school and they actually get their teacher assignments on Friday of the first week.  We love Mrs. Kids!

First Day of School - 2nd Grade & Kinder

I can't believe that I have a 2nd grader and Kindergartner this year. Where has the time gone?

My prayer for this year is that they would be the best of friends at school.  

The theme this year for their school is Once Upon A Time.  Everything has a storybook flair. 

Harper has Mrs. Blaylock for 2nd grade

Brody has Mrs. Kids for Kindergarten this year.  This is the same teacher who Harper had for Kinder.We love her and Brody is excited because he already knows her.  

We picked out school because of the amazing Principal, Mrs. Mattingly. I got these two pictures via text on the first day of school.  

It's going to be an Awesome year!

Best Week Ever - Sky Ranch Ute Trail

The last afternoon at camp we went horseback riding. Harper was the only one old enough to go with us.  I haven't been on a horse in forever.  I was nervous because I don't like not being in control.

Harper was up at the very front with the leader and Jeff and I were in the back of the line. 

I survived and didn't get thrown off the horse.

We had such a fantastic week at camp.  We can't wait to go back next summer.



Saturday morning we hit the road early and Harper was the only one that went back to sleep.
