Flower Mound Truck Rodeo

This afternoon after I picked up Harper from school we headed over to the Flower Mound library where the city was putting on their annual Truck Rodeo.  They had free popcorn, lemonade and all of the trucks that the kids would ever want to climb on.  Firetrucks, Police Jet Skis, Lawn mowers, Diggers, Excavators, Public Works trucks and more.  The kids had a blast!

Outside Play time

This is a 3 game week for daddy so we haven't seen him much.  We have enjoyed afternoons at the park, quick trips to the baseball field, and bike rides on the trails.

Our neighbor, Hope, and Harper being silly at the park.

Snack time at daddy's field

What started as one child drawing nicely with sidewalk chalk on the large cardboard box quickly turned into 4 kids going crazy with chalk.  They were coloring each other by the end.  This 5 minutes of fun turned into 30 minutes of baths and a load of laundry!

I stayed home from the game on Tuesday night and watched it online.  I love hearing Jeff's post game interviews.  The team is 17-5 so far this season and are 2nd place in District.

Birthdays, Baseball & BBQ swim parties

Friday night we celebrated my sister, Rebekah's 25th birthday. They came out to have dinner at our house and then go to the baseball game.  Plans changed slightly when the game got rained out.  We at least enjoyed a nice visit with Rebekah & Chris.
Saturday we played an away game at Plano West.  We beat them 18-7.  It was nice and toasty at the game.  The Halls came and brought their 3 kiddos.
After the game, we went over to my Aunt & Uncles house in Plano.  The kids decided to jump into the pool to cool off.  The impromptu swim session quickly turned to naked swimming by the big kids.

Let's Go To The Hop

Harper's school had a 50's Sock Hop fundraiser at their school.  My mom dug out these vintage poodle skirts that she made for my dad's 50th birthday party.  I pulled up videos on youtube to show Harper what a sock hop actually was.  We listened to 1950's music to get ready for it.
Harper had fun with her classmates.

Harper's teacher, Mrs. Kids, and buddy Noah.

Mrs. Mattingly our Fantastic principal!

Daddy even managed to show up for the end.
Such a fun night with our biggest.

Mornnigs with my people

Sometime our mornings are busy.  Rushing around making school lunches getting little people to school, errands, etc.  And sometimes we like to just take it easy at home with some card games.
The boys joined me on a 4 mile run this week. They definitely made it more challenging!

The big kids rode their bikes all the way to this fun park.  There are lots of ducks to watch.
Brody is enjoying his Small Fry soccer class at the YMCA.

Ice Scream, You Scream

Last week we had a fun ice cream social at Harper's school.
Birthday skating party for Harper's friend from school, Sadie.

Our Sunday Best.  We are working on the "non choke hold hug".

One evening after dinner we headed out for a stroll around the neighborhood with ice cream in hand.
