Walker 3 Months

Our littlest man is 3 months old.  He is still a fairly chill baby. His favorite hobbies are eating, sleeping and more eating. He loves watching Harper & Brody buzz around him.

Takes three naps each day. Many times they are in the car seat while getting Harper & Brody to school. Still waking several times per night to eat.

Sleeps swaddled with his arms out. Has found his thumb and sucks it when sleeping.

First Day of Preschool 2013

This mama might or might not have been counting down the days until preschool started this year.  The kids were so excited to start school again. Harper is in the Pre K 5 class with Ms. Becky (Tuesday  - Friday) and Brody is in Ms Bet's Two's class again (Tuesday / Thursday).

Traditions

My college roommate Michelle blessed Harper with the most thoughtful birthday present.  She asked me if she could buy Harper a James Avery charm bracelet and add a new charm each year for her birthday. The first charm that she had on the bracelet is so special. Almost 10 years ago, the day before my wedding, I had a bridesmaid luncheon. My mom had a special "southern charm cake" made that had charms that we pulled out on ribbons.  Each charm had a special meaning.  Michelle pulled the anchor charm, which means "Adventure awaits". She then saved this charm and put it on the charm bracelet for Harper.  So special and so thoughtful!

We met Michelle and Charlie at Dickey's BBQ to celebrate Miss Harper. Walker was very interested in Charlie's ice cream.

He bites the bottom of the cone first so the cone eating experience gets pretty messy.
 

Neighbors

We have some sweet neighbors that we have gotten to know over the past year.  Hard to believe that we have almost been here a full year!  Our across the street neighbors are raising their grandaughter. She is 9 months old and such a cutie.  Harper LOVES going over and visiting Ariana.

We have enjoyed some late afternoon / getting through the "bewitching" hour / play time.

Labor Day Party

On Labor Day we had a family gathering down at my grandparents home in Dallas.  We had several August & September birthdays to celebrate.  We enjoyed swimming, grilling out and being with family. Harper got to open a few more birthday presents.

Walker slept the afternoon away on the couch in the middle of everyone.  This third child can sleep anywhere!

So apparently the kids have seen me feeding Walker a little too much lately.  Harper now feeds her baby dolls while I feed Walker.

Crafting

It's too HOT outside to play so we have enjoyed some indoor activites lately.  Harper received some fun arts and craft items for her birthday.  She really enjoyed sitting down and working on them.  I can tell that her crafting skills (coloring, painting, cutting, gluing) are really improving.
  

  
Brody enjoys it as well.  He won't sit near as long as Harper will but if I sit with him and help him he usually stays interested for a while.

Grandad got her this Cinderella doll and she loves it.  There is now glitter all over the house from her dress.
