Football Weekend!

We had another busy weekend full of football and traveling! On Friday evening, my parents came over and went to Jeff's CHS football game with Harper and I. It was great to have two extra set of hands getting in and out of the stadium and during the game. The weather was perfect for a football game. The Titans pulled out another great win 18-7. They are now 5-2 this season, which is much better than last year's 1-9 record. Harper is now getting use to spending her Friday nights at the stadium. Harper had an exciting "First" at the game on Friday night. She had not taken a bottle until Friday. I've been solely breastfeeding her about every 3 hours - around the clock. I finally decided that it was time to try and see if she would take a bottle of my breast milk. By her taking a bottle, it frees us to be out and about a little longer than 3 hours. My Dad had the honors of giving it to her at the game. I figured if anyone could get her to take the bottle, it would be my dad the Pediatrician.
Harper took the bottle like a champ. She didn't even think twice before gulping in down. YEAH! This is the "after" feeding picture where Harper seems to be very content. Our sweet friends, the Diamonds, came out to support the Titans on Friday night. Abigail, their 20 month old, thoroughly enjoyed herself. It was her first football game to attend and she loved cheering for the Titans.
Mimi and Papa had fun passing Harper back and forth during the game.
Here's our little family down on the field after the game.
After the game on Friday night, we all came home to Wylie to get a few hours of sleep. We then got up early on Saturday morning, and headed to Austin for the UT vs. Missouri football game. This was Jeff's first time to travel with Harper on a road trip. Up until now, my mom and I have been roadtriping with Harper while Jeff is coaching. During this trip, we had a little "Daddy Boot camp" on how to travel with a baby. Some of the topics of daddy boot camp where how to set up the pack n' play in the hotel, how to change a diaper on the tailgate, and how to keep her happy in her car seat. First stop, was tailgating in West at the Little Czech Bakery. We picked up some yummy kolaches for breakfast, I nursed Harper, and she got her diaper changed on the tail gate of our Volvo.
Our car trip was pretty uneventful. Harper didn't make a peep and slept for most of the trip. We got to Austin and went to visit my cousins before the game. We then all had a yummy dinner at Johnny Carino's. Jeff and my Dad headed to the game while mom, Rebekah, Harper and I all went shopping. UT pulled out a HUGE win over Mizzou 56-31. We spent the night in Austin and drove back this morning. Overall, it was a great weekend.

Harper is getting so big! Have you given her another bottle since the first one? Sometimes they will take a bottle from anyone other than mommy! That is always super fun ;)!
