Tournament 3

Tournament number three was a cold one.  We all made it to the Friday night game with my parents in tow. Saturday afternoon we played in the rain and then they played in the Championship game that afternoon and it got rained out after the 1st inning.  It was 35 degrees and raining.  Fun times!

Another win for daddy's team

After the third weekend tournament we were 15-2 going into District play.  Go Marcus!

The Little Things

I love being greeted by this toothy grin every morning.  He is so happy!

I often find the kids out in the hall way upstairs looking at our family photo books / blog books.  I'm glad that I take the time to create the books and print them.

Morning hugs

Mimi went to Peru to visit Aunt Rebekah and brought back these fun hats for the kids.
Brody took a nap in his

We have a neighbor friend who we have watched several different times over the past week.  She is 14 months old and such a cutie.

As of this week, I'm done breastfeeding!  Walker was getting so distracted while nursing that I "got permission" from the Dr. (Papa) to go ahead and transition to milk in a straw sippy cup.  I nursed the other two kids for a full year but I just couldn't make it this time.  I'm so thankful that breastfeeding came very easy to me with each baby BUT I'm very ready to be able to leave him for longer than a 3-4 hours window. (He never took a bottle - wasn't a fan).
He is doing great with the transition to milk!

Walker Nine Months

Walker Lee is 9 months old!  What? This year is flying by!  I love this age.  For the most part he is still very happy all the time.  He is crawling and into everything.  He has started to pull up on things like the couch and the bath tub.  I think he will start walking sooner than the other kids did.  He is ready to get up and be a part of all of the action that goes on around him constantly.

He is a great eater.  He went from eating all of my home made purees to table food very quickly.  He is most happy when you put anything on his tray and he is able to pick it up by himself. He has not met any food that he doesn't like yet.  His favorites are bananas, sweet potatoes, avocados, green beans, cheese, and yogurt. But really he likes anything and pretty much needs a bath after each meal.

Up until very recently he was still getting up at least once a night to nurse.  I tried the cry it out method several different times but I wasn't consistent with it so it didn't really work. I just weaned him down to one nursing a day and switched him to drinking regular milk.  So far this has helped with the night sleeping.

He is a B.I.G boy and very strong.  He wear size 12 - 18 months clothes and wears size 5 diapers. By the end of the day my arm has definitely had a great workout from carrying him every where.

Walker's 9 month stats:
Height: 30 in. (97%)
Weight: 25 lbs. (99%)
Head: 46.5 cm (88%)

He thoroughly enjoyed playing in the table paper at the Dr. office.

And just for fun here is Harper and Brody at the same age.

Tournament Two

Our second weekend tournament of the season kept us home at Marcus.  It was nice to be able to catch some day games and not have to keep the kids out so late.  I think the kids ate at least 3 picnic meals at the field over 3 days.

Picnic Lunch #1 while Harper was at school

My Dad came in town for a medical meeting and was able to catch some games.

Picnic dinner at Game #2

#26 is our favorite!

MHS was 10-2 at the end of this weekend tournament.

So I don't forget

Life is busy with three young kids but oh so fun.  I don't want to forget these fun little moments throughout our busy days.

Jeff's Dad lives close and is a fantastic babysitter when I need to get a few things done.

Brody found the bunny ears in the Easter decorations

My youngest sister, Rebekah, is spending 3 months backpacking in South America.  My mom went down to meet her in Peru for 2 weeks.  We enjoyed a little facetime to catch up on their trip.  Rebekah is updating her blog while traveling.  She is having some amazing experiences.

This little one is happy all the time!

I came in to find Walker standing up in his crib last week.  This is his new game

Brody is really growing into his personality.  He is smart, detail oriented, and maybe a little particular about things.  One night before bed he emptied the tissue box in Harper's room.  Said it was snow. So I asked him to put all of the tissues back in the box.  He then proceeded to sit there for at least 15 minutes folding each tissue nicely one by one and filling the box back up. Never complained and was so pleased with himself once he compelted his task.
Time to keep the pantry door shut...
