There is definitely a baby bump now. I had to go buy some maternity pants and shirts this weekend. I hate spending money on clothes that I'm only going to wear for a few months. Oh well. Only 2 more days until we find out the sex of Baby Sherman. Based on our poll looks like over 70% of you think it's going to be a BOY! We shall see....

Our Crazy Hobby!
It time for me to step up to the plate. All of the previous posts have been from my PREGNANT wife Sarah. As some of you might know I am a baseball coach in Frisco, TX (Centennial High School). Right now we are at the turn of our district play and we are 4-3 (3rd place) and 10-7 on the season. Enough about what I do.....
As most of you know (mostly girls) Sarah is due in August. However, next week we find out the sex of our baby. YES - EXCITING NEWS PEOPLE!! What I want you to do is guess the sex of the baby. BOY or GIRL of course...(guys you can play along too). We want your input...Well, because we love you!
Ok...if we were not having this child we would be getting ready to leave for Arizona this week. For what - you might ask? A little event called IRONMAN ARIZONA . Yes I did said "IRONMAN"!!!! In case you don't know, Sarah signed up to do this race last year....(before Baby Sherman). But Doctor's orders - NO Ironman for baby Sherman.
Some of you might know what an Ironman is so here is one that I did in 06' ENJOY!

And here's Sarah's Ironman race in Florida.
Be sure and vote for the sex of Baby Sherman on our side bar.

Running - Hmmm?
Today was my day off and it was beautiful outside. I decided that I was going to go for a little run. Remember that I haven't really run since the marathon in December. I got all dressed in my running clothes. My TNT singlet barely covered my expanding belly. I clipped on my ipod and headed out the door. I did a five minute warm up walk then started my clock timer. My original plan was to do a run / walk method - (run for 5 minutes, then walk for 1 minute - then repeat). Well, I made it out of my neighborhood and around the corner and was already watching my clock timer. Whew - at about 4 minutes -I was DONE!
I think that Baby Sherman was a little shocked at all of the jostling motion. I felt some slight cramps in my stomach and decided that I was done running. I went ahead and walked for another 30 minutes and then called it a day. So much for running while pregnant.... I think that I'll stick to walking.

17 Weeks and counting...
Jeff is in the middle of baseball season right now. He is staying busy coaching the JV and Varsity baseball team at Centennial High School in Frisco. The team is doing well and Jeff loves being back on the baseball diamond. I've made it to a few of his games to cheer on the Titans.

First Baby Sherman Pics

We will go to the Dr. once every four weeks during my pregnancy. Our second appointment was at the end of January. We got to see and hear the heartbeat. Here's the pics from that visit:
Baby Sherman is growing. In this pic, the head is on the right side and butt is on the left. If you look really closely you can see a little bitty hand sticking up in the middle. I know that they are not that clear - but it will have to do for now.
The Dr. says the baby's heart beat is beating normal. It was so fun to get the sonogram and actually see the baby growing. Our next appointment is at the end of February. I think that I'm over my "morning sickness". Weeks 6-8 were the worst for me. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow! Almost done with the first trimester.

Team Sherman will become 3!
Everyone was so excited! The day after Christmas we left to go to Crested Butte, CO for a ski trip. Luckily, I did great in the car - no sickness along the way. Once we came back from Colorado, we went to our first Doctors appointment. The appointment was on our 4 year anniverssary which was pretty special. They did a sonogram and we got to see "Baby Sherman" on the screen. It looked just like a little bean. We can't wait to watch baby sherman grow. I'm due August 30th!
