Country Living in Paris

The beginning of baseball season is challenging because Jeff has 3 weekend tournaments in a row in addition to regular games on Tuesday nights.  I packed up the kids and headed up to Paris last weekend to break up the monotony of daddy being gone all the time.  We enjoyed our time at Papa & Mimi's and the beautiful Spring weather.
Brody in the "play pen" that Papa created for him. (aka Papa's truck bed)

Harper is such a good little helper. She loves feeding the birds at Grandma Jane's house.

I love this front porch swing.  So peaceful.

Still not walking by himself...

There are wild ducks that hang out on Papa's pond and several times a day we would see the ducks swimming on the pond and quietly sneak down to the edge of the water.  Then Harper loved yelling at this point so all of the ducks would fly away.  Go back inside... Repeat...

Grandma Jane knows how to make friends with Brody - give him food.

My dad discovered this concrete pipe out by the back pond that had turtles stuck in it. Technically it's an overflow pipe from the top pond to the one below it.  We think the turtles swam into this pipe when the water was a little higher and then got stuck.  There is one turtle that is clogging the hole for them to be able to swim down to the next pond.  Harper was excited about our Turtle Rescue.

Dad pulled out 36 turtles!  The next morning we went out and they had all made it down to the lower pond and hopefully are much happier now.
