Visit with Grannie Sherman

Today was a busy day! After Jeff's practice this morning, we headed out to Cleburne. Jeff's Grannie just moved from Abilene and we went for a little visit.  I was nervous about driving 3 + hours in the car with Harper. Well, she didn't do so great in the car on the way there.  She was pretty restless and not happy for the last 45 minutes or so.  Thankfully we had lunch when we arrived so she was much happeir then.  Grannie loved snuggling with her Great Grandaughter!

Tired girl....

We had a great visit with Grannie, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Jane. We left Cleburne around 3pm thinking that we could make it back home in time for dinner.  Unfortunately we ran into some traffic, Harper was having a melt down and needed OUT of her carseat! McDonald's was the first place that we saw.  I'm proud to say that we made it until Harper was 19 months old for her to eat at McDonald's! We ordered her a kids meal with chicken nuggets and apple slices. Our mistake was that Jeff and I both ordered an ice cream cone for a snack.  We should have known that the minute she saw the ice cream that she would want that and not her dinner! Needless to say, she won.... Ice cream for dinner. Yum!
