Outdoor wedding in November??

Saturday morning we headed to Waco for Jeff's cousins wedding. Somehow we both missed the memo that this was going to be an OUTDOOR wedding. A cold front blew in on Friday night and Saturday was cold and very windy in Waco. We were definitely not dressed for the occasion - in more ways than one. Let's just say I've never seen so many cowboy hats and wranglers at a wedding! Jeff's Grandmother, Aunt, and cousins from Wyoming all came in for the wedding. They all got to meet Harper for the first time. I kept Harper in her sling the entire night and she did great! She helped to keep me warm also. Sitting outside and freezing waiting for the wedding to start. Jeff said it was the shortest wedding he had ever been to. The bride and bridesmaids were so cold they cut out the special music and the unity candle lighting. Wyatt, Jeff's cousin, was the ring bearer. Notice the camouflage vest and tie! Here's Jeff with his cousins and Grandmother from Wyoming. They thought this weather was "pleasant". They have already had the first snow of the season. Here's Jeff with all of his cousins. Wes is the groom and he's in a camouflage vest and tie also! Lacey was a bridesmaid but in the middle of the reception decided that she was tired of her dress and heels and ready for her wranglers! We enjoyed visiting with Jeff's family at the wedding. It was great to see everyone.

Okay, last Thanksgiving I went to an outdoor wedding in Waco. It was literally FREEZING (ice on the ground) and raining. So they moved everything into a tent with those restaurant heaters... and the cake actually melted and fell over onto the ground during the ceremony. Absolutely amazing. It was so cold I left as soon as the vows were over!
