5 years old!

Harper turned 5 on the 28th but we celebrated all week long.  We had her party with friends on the 25th.  Then on Tuesday evening we let her pick the place for her birthday dinner.  She chose Rosa's for Taco Tuesday!

Mimi was here for the morning so she kept the boys while Jeff and I took Harper to a yummy birthday breakfast at the Egg & I.
Opening a few presents on her actual birthday.

Brody showing off her new outfit.

I think her favorite was the electric toothbrush!

We love you sweet Harper and are so thankful for you.  You are such a wonderful big sister to your little brothers.

Harper's 5th Birthday Party

We had Harper's 5th birthday party at Kiddin Around in Highland Village.  During the week it's a drop in play place/day care but on Sundays they host birthday parties.  They have so many things for the kids to play with.  The dress up clothes and the train tables were the biggest hit. There is a little indoor basketball court that the boys enjoyed.  The girls turned the movie room into a "stage" for singing and dancing and used the mats for practicing their gymnastics.

The party was from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. so I did cupcakes and a few other snacks for the kids.

Everyone waiting patiently for their cupcake.

Grandad kept Walker entertained.

Elle & Harper have been friends since they were little. We have been friends with her parents since before we all had kids!

Superheroes!

Emerson's mom and dad grew up with Jeff.  She came to a lot of the baseball games in the Spring so the girls enjoyed keeping each other company there.  They are also in the same class this year at school!

Kate and Harper were born just a few weeks apart and have been friends since they were little.

New friends from church!
We opened presents when we got back home from the party. She loved the barbies and all of the arts and crafts that she received.

We did her birthday party a few days before he actual birthday.

Last few weeks

Here are some random pics from the past few weeks from my phone.
We had a few evenings in a row that the weather allowed us to get out and play in backyard.  This was Walker's first time in the swing.

At the end of the summer, Harper did a gymnastics camp for a couple of days at a local gym.  She really enjoyed it. We took her friend Lydia with us each day.

Laundry.....it never ends!  Can you find the baby?

Daddy wanted new boots so we made it a family shopping trip.

We enjoyed a fun morning with Olivia Kate & Preston.  Check out this inflatable water slide!

We enjoyed having daddy home this summer and we were sad to see him go back to work full time.  This pic is from his first day back.  We survived!

This little chunker just goes along with the flow most days.

Brody was "babysitting" Walker by keeping his monitor with him where ever he went.  Brody would tell me whenever Walker would make a peep.

Future Baylor Roomies?

Last weekend we had all of my college roommates over for dinner.  It was a fun time with all of the kids.

Baby switch.  These two are only 2 days a part from each other.

We attempted to get pic of all 5 kids. This one cracks me up!

Issac & Colin don't know what to think about the crazy Sherman kids.

Fun times with wonderful friends.

Country Living

Last week Jeff started back to work so the kids and I packed up and went to Paris for one last trip before they start school.

The temps were unseasonably cool several mornings so we enjoyed being outside.

The kids love going out to the pond and watching the geese

This view from my parents front porch never gets old

Mom kept many of the toys from our childhood including this suitcase full of cabbage patch dolls and outfits.

Kids and their Great Great Grandma Jane.  She is 104!

My dad and I attempted to take the kids to see the movie Planes.  They were excited at first but unfortunately we didn't make it through the whole movie. Good thing we only paid $2 each in Paris.

Harper has been to several movies but this was Brody's first one.

I should have packed more snacks. They ate all that I brought during the previews.  Next time we will show up after the previews just in time for the movie to start.
