Picture Day, a Carousel Ride and More Baseball

Wednesday was picture day at preschool.  It was still a little chilly but I had to pull out the Spring like clothes for pics.  Harper always says to Brody "You are so handsome."
  
Thursday it was cold and rainy so we headed to the mall with old friends from McKinney. The kids enjoyed playing in the play area, riding the carousel and eating in the food court for lunch.
Brody and Collin are just a few months apart.

Harper and Reese loved seeing each other. They haven't gotten to play together very often since we moved.

Friday night we headed to the baseball game. We played cross town rival - Flower Mound HS. It was a disappointing loss for us but they turned around and won on Saturday to redeem themselves.

Jeff's Dad comes to every game and he is a HUGE help with the kids.  We tend to divide and conquer throughout the game. Here he is dishing out some snacks for Mr. B.  This is the only time that he will sit still during the game.

Take Me Out To the Ballgame

Baseball season is moving right along.  Our Marcus Marauder's are 20-5 so far.  They have played great baseball overall with just a few tough losses. I try to get to most of the games with the kids.  It's challenging because most District games start at 7:30 p.m. which is about the time we are normally heading to bed.  The kids have made some friends that tend to come to most games so they enjoy playing during the games.

Nick is headed to play at Baylor in the fall.

I always wander what they are talking about with the umpires and other head coach before the game starts.

Is he acting like a monkey or just calling plays? Harper gets a kick out of watching Jeff coach from third base and to see how animated he is.

And while daddy is on the field, I'm usually chasing kiddos around the stands which typically includes coaxing a certain two year old out from under the bleachers.


We had a huge win against Coppell last week.  We were tied with them for 2nd place in District going into the game.  It rained off and on during the whole game but we managed to pull out a win!  I think Jeff is in this pile up somewhere.

The games that we play at home are broadcast on the Internet and radio.  It's nice if I have to leave early or don't make it to a game I can still watch online.  Jeff gets interviewed after the games.

We are enjoying our first season at Marcus. 

Easter 2013

This Easter weekend we opted to stay home and have our family come to us.  We typically go to Paris for Easter weekend but it was nice to not have to travel.  On Saturday afternoon, we hosted my family and Jeff's dad for a yummy dinner.  My parents and sister spent the night on Saturday night and all went to church with us on Sunday.  The kids woke up early to find that the Easter Bunny had left them a few goodies.


Brody was more interested in what was in each egg rather than his new pajamas.
  
I should have put them in cuter pajamas the night before but I forgot...
  
I told them no candy before breakfast and then I found them over in the corner trying to eat their Reese's pieces candy through the wrapper.

After church we snapped a few pictures outside.

The kids each had kites in their Easter baskets.  Thankfully it was a beautiful day on Sunday so we headed out after naps to fly our kites.



  
We had a great weekend celebrating with Family. 

Easter Playdate

On Friday, the kids didn't have preschool so we were able to go over to our friend Brooke's house for a little Easter play date.

We managed to dye a few Easter Eggs out on the back porch.


 

The kids stayed inside for a few minutes while I went out and head all of the plastic eggs.
 
Each time Brody would pick up an egg he would open it and then show me what was in it before he moved on to the next one.

We then headed to the pond in Brooke's neighborhood to feed the ducks and have a picnic lunch.
