Happy New Year! We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for our family in 2012.

We had a few days this past week that had absolutely beautiful weather. The kids and I went out on several bike rides. They usually do pretty good in the bike trailer as long as they have snacks and toys.

This time they each had their own "computer" but of course they fought over what the other one had.

Sic 'Em Bears!

Congrats to our Baylor Bears on a phenomenal football season this year. When I was at Baylor our football team was terrible. As my dad suffered through games where Baylor lost by 50-60 points, he always reminded me that he didn't send me there for their sports teams. Fast forward 10 years and we have improved! We went 10-3 this season, won the Alamo Bowl (67-56) and Robert Griffin III (RG3) our quarterback won the first ever Heisman Trophy for Baylor.

Jeff installed a flag pole on the house and the first flag that we got was this one!

I think that is a little sic 'em bears that he is doing!

Family Time

My sister, Carol, & brother in law, Andrew, drove in from Louisville for Christmas this year. We enjoyed a few days with everyone in McKinney after Christmas.

Traditions

Every year since I can remember the Cutrell side of the family always gets together for a fun Christmas celebration. When we were younger, we would all (20 plus people) pile into a house for a weekend. Now that we are older and the 12 grandchildren are starting their own families we have shortened the celebration to a one day event. I so look forward to this time each year when we can all get together and catch up on life. One of my very favorite traditions is that we read the Christmas story and act it out and have our very own play. My mom has the same box of costumes that we have used since we were all little (angel wings made of tinsel, burger king crowns, and more). Some of the older cousins required a little more prodding this year to get them to participate but it was a success. Harper was Mary, Brody was a sheep, Jeff was a shepherd, & I was the play director.

So I forgot to bring a baby doll to play baby Jesus so we grabbed the little tiny figurine from the nativity set that Aunt Ruth had on the coffee table. Harper was a little confused.
