A nice night for some football
This season Harper and I have not been to very many of Jeff's football games. OK - so up until this weekend we had only been to half of one. Harper goes to bed now at 6pm so it's pretty challenging to make a 7:30 game. On Friday night my parents and sister came in to town to go to the game with me. With 4 sets of hands I thought we could handle Harper. I knew that we would be out really late so I put her to bed at 5:30 for a little pre game nap. I got her up at 7:15 and we headed to the game. She was tired but we kept feeding her snacks to keep her happy.
Papa bought Harper a little Longhorn to go with her UT Cheerleading outfit. I think he is already trying to convince her to go to UT. She is in a UT outfit - but she does have on a Baylor sweatshirt over it.
Heather, Abigail, Carol and Harper. The Diamond's are such sweet friends to come to so many of Jeff's games. They live near the stadium so during football season this is about the only time that we get to see each other.
Harper and her daddy at half time.
Papa trying to keep Harper's hands warm with his gloves.
A little too big.
Harper is not walking by herself yet. If you hold both hands she will take a few steps. My dad had fun helping her walk.
What a difference a year makes...Check out this post from this same game last year. Harper will for sure be growing up at the stadium.

Hook 'em Horns
I know, I know....I'm a Baylor grad so why is my daughter dressed up as a Longhorn cheerleader?
My dad and his entire family all went to UT and my sister is a Sophomore there right now. TX vs. OU is always a big game in my family to watch. My parents and sister were in town today so they all enjoyed watching the Longhorns beat up on the Sooners.
My sister, Carol, teaching Harper "Hook 'em Horns"

Harper wasn't very excited to see Papa and Aunt Carol leave today.
Birthday Parties times two.
This weekend was full of birthday parties. Yesterday we went to Mackenzie's 2nd birthday and today we went to Holice's party. Lindsay held a fun Mickey Mouse themed party. The kids had a great time playing with each other and eating yummy food.
Mackenzie wasn't too excited when we all sang Happy Birthday to her.
This afternoon we went to Holice's 2nd birthday party. We had a nice time visiting with friends and celebrating with Holice. Friday, October 16, 2009
Mommy's Helper
I've never really enjoyed grocery shopping. In fact - I dread it and usually put it off until we absolutely have to go. Add a one year old to the process and it really makes exhausting! Good thing that Wal Mart is a big place and noisy because Harper managed to pretty much fuss and scream while I raced up and down each aisle hoping not to miss anything on my list. She was fine once we got home and enjoyed helping me put away the groceries.
She looks really excited about these green beans. Too bad when I try to feed them to her she isn't this excited!

Kate & Harper
Kate and her mommy Janet came over yesterday afternoon to play. The girls are just a few weeks apart and they are so sweet together.
They enjoyed playing for a while then we went to the park because the sun was finally out!
Small spaces
This is one of Harper's favorite toys right now. It's a little Dora the Explorer toy that she can ride on or push or crawl inside. Harper's fascination right now is crawling into small spaces. She lifts up the seat and then decides to crawl into the small space that you would normally carry toys in.
Farm Animals
I think every with home with children should have this toy stuck to their frig! This Magnetic animal set has provided endless moments of entertainment in our kitchen. It's especially helpful when I'm trying to do dishes or cook. Yes - it plays annoying music but hey - it keeps her entertained!
