Smores, Fishin, Baseball and More

Sunday afternoon I took the big kids to a birthday party for our buddy Isaac.  The party was at their new house in their awesome backyard.  They roasted hotdogs, made smores, "fished" in the pool and went on a nature walk / scavenger hunt.

When I can't make it to a baseball game, I am thankful for technology where I can watch the game.  My favorite part is hearing Jeff's post game interview.

Fun afternoon with sweet friends - Campbell, Harper, and Sloane
My cousin Michael and his wife  Jacqueline were up in Dallas for work.  We were able to get together for dinner one night and celebrate his birthday.

Some of our baseball games have been freezing!  Thankfully dad came to this one in Plano to help keep me warm.

Thankful for a quick lunch date with my coach during baseball season.  Even if it was only for 45 minutes between games - I'll take what I can get.

Rock 'n' Roll Dallas 1/2 Marathon

I signed up and trained for the Rock 'n' Roll Dallas 1/2 Marathon.  My training was not as consistent as it should have been but I put in the miles (or at least most of them).
Expo at Dallas Convention Center
Race morning with my friend Karen!  We rode the train from Carrollton all the way to downtown Dallas.
It was 39 degrees and windy at the start of the race.  That made for a chilly start.  I wore more layers than I usually do.  When I saw Jeff and the kids at Mile 7 I gave him my long sleeved shirt and gloves.  About Mile 8 I regretted that decision because we were running into the wind.

This race definitely wasn't a PR but I finished in 1:57.

Thankful for my crew that was there to cheer me on!

Cold Morning for TBall

Last Saturday was a really cold morning for TBall.  We bundled everyone up and headed to cheer on our #7!

March Week 3

Here's a few phone pics from March.
The boys had Tiny Texan Day at school.  They were so cute in their cowboy get up.  Only problem was that I got the date wrong and it really wasn't until April.  Oh well - they will get to dress up twice.

Please let him stay little and always want to snuggle

The kids turned Harper's room into a giant fort.  They insisted on sleeping in there also.  The boys bailed out after just a few minutes but Harper slept in there the whole night.

T Ball

It's Jeff's busy season at the High School but he still manages to squeeze in some practice with Brody.  Brody enjoys batting practice at the Marcus field where the "big boys play."

Walker is Brody's biggest fan.

His practice is really paying off and he is doing great.

VS Lewisville

The week after Spring Break we had 4 District games to play.  A normal week during district is 2 games but with the rain outs over Spring Break they all got bumped to one week.

We played Lewisville at their place and the game started at 5 which was a nice change from the usual 7:30 start times.

Their buddy Molly was there and helped keep them entertained.

A 6-5 victory over LHS brings a smile to daddies face.

My boys!

Spring Break Week Shenanigans

The first part of Spring Break was pretty low key for us.  Harper and Mallori had a fun girl's day that included movie and unlimited pop corn at the Movie House.

Tuesday was National Pancake Day and IHop was giving away free pancakes so I gathered a crowd and we took over the corner of the restaurant.  Table for 16 please - 3 moms and 13 kids.

We had rainy weather all week and one morning we were at the gym working out and the sirens went off in the middle of our class.  We rushed down to the locker rooms and the kids club workers already had moved all of the kids in there. That made for an exciting morning.

Once we made it home from our San Antonio trip the rain finally stopped.  Daddy took a break from baseball and went to the park with us.  It's always more fun with daddy.

This sounded like a good idea at first.  "Let's go throw rocks into the creek."  Only problem was that there was a steep embankment that Walker kept getting close to.
