Walker - 6 Months

6 months. 1/2 a year. What?  It's going by so fast!
Walker is getting to a fun age where he is more interactive with us.  He is rolling everywhere. Changing his diaper is a workout because he is constantly flipping over onto his stomach. He is so strong so that makes changing difficult.

He has quickly outgrown his 6 month clothes and has moved on to some 9 month but mostly 12 month clothes.  His feet are huge and he bypassed all of the "infant" shoes / socks that we had for Brody.

He is one BIG boy! Here are his 6 month stats:
Weight: 22 lbs. (98%)
Length: 28.25 inches (97%)
Head: 44 cm (71%)

And just to compare here are Harper & Brody's stats at the same age:
Brody weighed 17 lbs. 7 oz (60%) and was 27 3/4 inches (90%) while Harper weighed 18 lbs. 11 oz. (90%) and was 27 1/4 inches long (95%).

I'd like to think that he is on some kind of schedule but really it all depends on the day.  Some days he gets to take a full nap in his bed but most week days at least one of his naps get interrupted by needing to go drop off or pick up from preschool. He is really flexible.

Everything goes straight to the mouth.

Routine

Wake up (too early), breakfast, play, snack, play, lunch, play, nap, snack, play, dinner, bath, play, bedtime. wake up repeat. repeat. repeat. Sometimes I feel as if the hours in the day creep by and sometimes they fly by. It all depends on how the kids are doing playing with each other. Sometimes they are each other's best friends - and others they are yelling and screaming at each other like crazy people. In the midst of all of the chaos I'm trying to take time to treasure these moments.

Walker trying to decide if he likes carrots or not.

The exersaucer is one of the "safe" places that I can put him where he is always very happy.

He recently discovered the mirror and was fascinated by it!

Loves the baby mum mums.

Little man is particular about how he sleeps.  He likes to be swaddled and then stuffed down in the sleep sack that my friend Heather made. He always sucks his thumb and hugs onto his lovie.

I love the crazy bed head of Brody when he wakes up!

I love my little people!

Walker - 5 Months

Somehow I missed this post last month.  Walker is Mr. Chill man.  Thank goodness because I'm usually so busy with his big brother and big sister.  He is so patient to wait....for diaper change, to eat, to take a nap, to ride around in his car seat all the time, etc.

He usually takes 2 naps per day and is still getting up twice at night. He is eating food my pureed baby food and seems to like most things.

He is very entertained by just watching the chaos around him most days.

Oh Walker we love you so much!

Some Cousin Time

We were able to squeeze in a quick visit with Uncle Bill, Aunt Rhonda & Rylee before we left for Paris for Thanksgiving.

These two are only 6 months apart.

Nine Kids

Our dear friends the Halls moved out to West Texas this summer.  They were in town for Thanksgiving and we got to visit with them.  We had the Hamilton girls over as well for a fun night of catching up.

Can't believe that all 9 of these kids are ours.  All of our kids are about the same ages and we were all pregnant together and have done life with each other since our oldest girls were just babies.

These girls had so much fun playing.  Harper sure does miss her good buddies!
