Meeting Noelle

Yesterday Harper and I went to meet baby Noelle. Noelle's mom, Amanda, and I have been friends forever. We were born two weeks apart, grew up together in Paris and went to Baylor together. Noelle is four weeks old and the cutest little thing. I don't remember Harper being this small. Noelle slept for a while when we first got there. I'm surprised that she could sleep through Harper's babbling and squeals.

At one point yesterday we were both sitting on the floor changing a diaper and Amanda looked at me and said "Did you ever think that we would be doing this together?" It's so fun to be going through this same life stage together.

Playdate at the pool

On Wednesday morning, Harper and I headed to the Jack Carter Pool in Plano for a play date. We met up with several of the moms from my bible study and their kiddos. The pool is great for small children because the water is only a few inches deep at the edges.

Harper is not so sure about Collin yet. Harper deciding that she wants to play with Collin's toy. She managed to get it away from Collin. This girl is already showing a strong will. Hmm - I wonder where she gets that from.

Making Pizza

Last weekend while we were in Paris, my sisters and Jeremy decided that they wanted to make homemade pizzas. They found recipes online and then watched you tube videos on how to throw the dough in the air.

Lately

This past weekend, Jeff was away for a coaches retreat so Harper & I headed to Paris for some play time with Mimi and Papa. My dad found this set of blocks that I use to play with when I was little. Harper didn't really know what to think of them.

She was less than impressed by his tall tower. Harper was interested in my mom's Eiffel tower. She decided that she wanted to try to climb it. Look at that balance.

Here's another attempt at our 5 generation picture. We have managed to take several of the past few months! When I was 7 years old, we had a family friend live with us. Her parents had to move away from Paris and because it was her Senior year she lived with us. I always called Mandy my big sister and have kept up with each other since then. This past September we flew out to New Mexico for her wedding. She and her new husband, Sam, were in town this past weekend for her 20 year high school reunion. They stayed with my parents and we enjoyed our visit. The three Cutrell sisters and our blonde "sister" Mandy.

I just realized I never posted these pics from last week. We managed to get my college roommates all together for a fun dinner out. I cherish the time that I get to spend with Michelle, Natalie and Sarah.

Cafe Max - yum yum

Cafe Max is one of my favorite lunch places in the area. My sister, Grandmommy, Harper and I ate there on Thursday. You basically get to pick from 8 different salads. I always get chicken, Caesar and pasta. Oh - I'm making myself hungry! If you have never been, you should really check it out.

Packing

Slowly but surely we are getting everything packed up. We are moving less than 20 miles away but you still have to pack like you are moving across country. My sister came over last week for a few days to help me get everything packed up. Harper is a good little helper.

Grandma Jane

We are so blessed to have my Great Grandma Jane still with us. She will be 101 this December. She is such a joy to be around. Last weekend in Paris, she enjoyed spending some time with Harper, her great great granddaughter! Harper trying to escape from Grandma Jane's lap.My grandaddy drives a silver Camero and looks pretty cool driving it! I think it's so cool that my 70 year old grandaddy and my 100 year old great grandma are headed out for a Saturday afternoon drive in the Camero!
