Sea Life Aquarium

The kids and I headed out to the Sea Life Aquarium at Grapevine Mills this afternoon.  We met Amanda and Noelle and the kids loved it. Today they were offering buy one get one free and then they let the kids in for free.

Brody was a crazy man - running from tank to tank checking out all of the fish.  He loved it!

Sweet Friends!

The aquarium was perfect for the littles.  They had all of these fun ways for the kids to look at the fish.  This one was a bubble that they get poke their heads up and be in the middle of the tank.

Brody's favorite was this walk way that went through the middle of the shark tank. He loved laying down on the glass and looking down at the fish swimming around.

Attempt at group photo. This is the best that I got.

At the end of the exhibit they had these tanks that contained things that they could hold and touch.

We had a great time and enjoyed our half price tickets.

Happy Birthday Abigail

On Saturday Harper and I had a girl's date to Abigail's 6th birthday.  Her party was brunch at the American Girl store at the Galleria.  We don't have an American Girl doll yet so we borrowed one from Mimi's house.  Both of my sisters had several dolls growing up.  So Harper had the vintage doll at the party.

This was Harper's first experience at the store and she LOVED it!!  I couldn't get her out of there when the party was over.  We all enjoyed a yummy breakfast.

All of the dolls lined up at the table while the girls took a potty break.

Samantha ate well that morning also.

Happy Birthday sweet Abigail!

Harper brought home the catalog and has already requested several items out of it.  I told her to ask Santa next Christmas...

The Swing Set

Our McKinney house had a tiny backyard so we weren't able to fit a swing set in it.  This house has a little bigger back yard.  Still not big enough for a huge play set but a stand alone swing set was going to be perfect.  Dad and Mom came over last weekend and helped on the project.  Baseball season has started so Jeff was not around but mom kept kids busy while Dad and I built away.

We started with a simple kit from Home Depot and it came with a ton of different screws, nails, bolts, etc.

Yes - I got after it with the power tools!

Is fun to think that I helped build this that my kids will enjoy hopefully for years.

It was a bit chilly but Harper insisted on supervising all afternoon.  Of course her leap pad helped keep her busy.

Brody enjoyed Papa's tools as well.

Thank you Papa and Mimi for giving up your weekend to help with our project!
They have been outside swinging every day since!
