ICE

This afternoon we headed out to the Gaylord Texan Resort.  I purchased half price tickets to see the ICE exhibit. Brody has been a little under the weather this week so I didn't think that it would be smart to drag him around the room that was chilled to 9 degrees!  He and I walked around and looked at the trains and other Christmas decorations while Harper, Jeff & Bill explored ICE.  She was so excited.

The Gaylord is decorated from floor to ceiling for Christmas.  It felt weird seeing Christmas decorations and it was almost 80 degrees outside.  I guess that is Texas for you.

My little Turkey & Pilgrim

The kids come up with such cute artwork from preschool. Last week they brought had a Thanksgiving Feast and made some pretty cute stuff.  Brody's class were Indians and Harper's class were Pilgrims.


Harper insisted on taking a pic of each thing that she brought home that day.



The next morning that wanted to wear their hats again for breakfast.

Rhonda's Baby Shower

A few weeks ago I held a baby shower for my sister in law, Rhonda.  It was less than 3 weeks after we moved in so it gave me incentive to get boxes unpacked.

Happy Halloween

We debated on what to do for Halloween evening but opted to stay near home.  We found a little festival going on at a local park and then the kids did a little trick-or-treating. They were not very impressed by the random Power Team that was up on a stage breaking breaks with their heads.

We moved quickly to the games.

Yes I couldn't find the pumpkin buckets in the midst of all of the boxes so we opted for sand buckets from the beach.


The hit of the evening for Brody was the fire truck that was on site.  They let the kids climb around inside and he loved it.


Grandad joined us for our fun evening and even went trick-or treating with us.
