Catching Up

Football season has started and it's been pretty busy around here.  I was recently told that my blog was broken because it hadn't been updated in 3 weeks!  Oops. I have lots of life and pics to catch up on so bear with me.
We enjoyed some playtime at the mall one hot afternoon before Jeff went back to school.

Brody & his buddy Maddox enjoying some male bonding time.

Future CEO and his assistant.

So Harper has been getting up really early every day - usually before 6 a.m.  Whew that makes for a long day! I tried this trick to cover up the minutes on her clock and tell her that she can come out of her room when the numbers matched.  It didn't work...

Little Daredevil

Harper discovered the diving board at Mimi & Papa's house last weekend. Once she got the hang of it there was no stopping her.

Brody just chilled on the side while watching Harper.

A look of determination

Love this pic that you can see her eyes open underwater.

Such a big girl!

Squeaky Clean

Brody loves bath time just like his sister. Most of the time they get a bath together but here was a rare time for him to play by himself and not have her stealing his toys.

Love these cheeks!

Pool Time in Paris

It's been so hot the last few weeks, the only way to stay cool is in the pool!

I'm so thankful that I put Harper in swim lessons at the beginning of the summer because she is doing great and loves the water!

Aunt Carol & Brody

Harper loves these "muscles" and motors all over the pool with them on.

My little water baby.

Thankful that Carol was able to come in for the weekend!

New Things in Paris

Last weekend the kids and I went to Paris because Jeff was tied up with football. Mimi had purchased a few early birthday presents for Harper to play with while we were there. Harper enjoyed the Dora book with attached "cd player".

This little fishing game kept her busy for a while.

Such concentration is required to catch these little fish when they are spinning around and opening and closing their mouths.

Papa even got to catch a few with her

Brody had his first popsicle with Aunt Carol and loved it!

Harper also got a new painting set that she enjoyed doing.

Toy Fairy

Harper is such a good big sister to Brody. She is always wanting to help him do things and says "What does he need / want?" if he's fussy. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and came around the corner to see this...

Harper decided to empty Brody's toy bucket in his lap.

Hmmm.... so many toys to choose from.

Oh here's one more

Harper - the toy fairy.

Pool with Friends

One afternoon this past week we headed down the street to our neighborhood pool to meet a few friends.
Brody and Stella

"The Bigs" - Brady, Kate, Harper & Pierce

Brynlee trying to figure out why Stella is in her floatie

Brady & Pierce planning their next move.  It's so fun to see the differences in how little boys & girls play.

Happy Brody

I found this pic of Harper at this exact same age.  Can you tell they are siblings?
