4th of July weekend

Jeff went to St. Louis for a guys trip over 4th of July weekend. He got to visit with several of his college roommates and friends from Missouri Baptist. Harper and I went to Paris for the weekend to spend time with family. On Friday, we drove to Sulphur Springs to visit my Mama & Papa (Dad's parents) My 100 year old great grandma Jane came along for the ride. "Look mom - no hands!" Harper had fun riding around on Grandma Jane's walker.
Mama & Papa with their first Great grand child.
On Friday evening, we went to watch fireworks. For as long as I can remember, my family went to the High School to watch the fireworks. Before the fireworks start, our municipal band plays what seems to be the same show every year. Then when the fireworks start, the same soundtrack plays and ends with Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA." Such fun memories of growing up.

This was Harper's first 4th of July and first time to watch fireworks. She was mesmerized by them.
On Saturday, we relaxed in Paris and enjoyed some time with my cousins Chris and Kevin.
Harper ate her first Nilla wafer and really liked it.
We had a great weekend in Paris.
