Cousins and Time with Grannie

After we got home from vacation we enjoyed catching up with family.  We met Rylee & Reed at the park and then headed to McAlisters for cheap kids meals for lunch.

Grannie Sherman had a birthday in July so we traveled out to Cleburne to celebrate with her

We had a fabulous two weeks at the beach this summer and definitely didn't want to leave our little slice of paradise.  The last night we took a few impromptu photos before we left.

More Destin Fun

Saturday there is no one on the beach and we had the whole place to ourselves.  It's called turnover day because most people leave on Saturday am to head home and then the next round of tourists start arriving Saturday afternoon.  It was a perfect day on the beach.








This year we had two families join us for the second week.  They are friends from Flower Mound and we all have kids the same ages. The kids all had a blast playing together.

Wednesday night we drove over to Seaside to catch the concert.  Unfortunately the storm rolled in and cut the concert short.

Destin Week One

This year we decided to stay two weeks at the beach.  It's so much effort and time to get there we thought that we might as well stay longer.  Mimi drove down with us and then Papa and Aunt Rebekah joined us mid way through the first week. 

This year everyone enjoyed playing in the sand and I didn't have to worry as much about them.  I actually stole a few minutes by myself to read.  

Because Mimi was there with us she graciously kept the kids several nights so Jeff and I could get out for a few date nights.

Thursday nights at the Destin Harbor they have a fun fireworks show that the kids like to go see.
