Playoffs Week 3 - Regional Quarter Finals

We faced cross town rival Flower Mound HS in the Regional Quarter Finals in a three game series at Dallas Baptist University.  Thursday night Mimi kept the kids at home so I could go to game by myself.  Marcus lost game one of the series but then we came back and won the next two games! Friday night Harper and I had a girls night out to the ballpark while the boys stayed home with Mimi.

Marcus wins 11-3 and moves on to game 3!

Saturday Coach Sherman had a huge fan club there cheering on the team.

It was a little stressful at the end!

Marcus wins again and advances to the Regional Semi-Finals.

Peek n Play with Mimi

Walker got upgraded to Brody's old bike and he tries really hard to keep up with the big kids now.

The kids had an art show at school where they got to show off one of their paintings.

Mimi took Walker to the new Peek n Play one morning so I could get some work done.  He had a blast playing and pretending.  It was right up his alley.

Harper's Piano Recital and Mother's Day

Harper had her first official piano recital at the MCL Grand Theater.  She played a fun little Mary Poppins medley of songs.
Mrs. James has been a wonderful teacher this year for our little Harper.

Pretty special to have Mimi & her Great grandmommy there to cheer her on.

My girl!

It was also Mother's Day weekend so we enjoyed a yummy lunch with everyone.

Playoffs Week 2

Jeff enjoys taking the boys over to the park by our house to hit baseballs when he can. Walker has a really great swing and enjoys playing with Brody.

These two are the best of friends....most of the time.
My Friday didn't go as planned after I popped my tire in the Sam's parking lot. The kids were not too thrilled that we had to spend the afternoon at the tire store getting it fixed.
After our small delay, we eventually made it to Jeff's playoff game at South Grand Prairie High School. We won the first two games in the series which moved us on to week 3.
Technology is the key to getting through baseball games with the kids.
Marcus wins!

Baseball Playoffs and In The Big Inning

Jeff's team placed 3rd in our District and advanced to the play offs this year.  Round one was a three game series held ad Hebron HS.  We had some friends come cheer with us.

Saturday was a double header and really hot so our friends took Walker home so he didn't have to stay for the second game.  Brody kept himself entertained with the ipad sitting in the shade under the bleachers....for the entire game!

Marcus wins the series against Denton Guyer and moves on to round 2.

Sunday evening Jeff and I slipped in a quick dinner date. I'm thankful for any facetime that I can get during baseball season with my coach man.

Sunday night at church was the kids big choir performance.  It was an adorable musical called "In The Big Inning". The theme perfectly matched our already baseball crazy house.

Harper rocked her solo

Mimi came over to watch the performance.

Rolling into May

Spring time mornings with my little guy consist of lots of time outside.  This particular day he insisted on riding his bike all the way to the pond with the "real ducks".  He pedaled those little legs over 2.5 miles round trip.
Back to the river walk for afternoon snacks.

Three year olds are so funny.  Walker loves having friends over to play while H & B are at school.

Harper was in the Challenger Publishing Club at school this year. She wrote, illustrated and published her own little book.  On the last day of her club, she got to read her book to the group.
Braum's happy hour for the win.
