High Ropes Course and a Carnival

Our first full day of family camp was FULL of fun.  After lunch, we hiked up the little mountain at the back of the camp.
We all got geared up for the high ropes course.  Walker hung out with our counselor, Noah, and watched us.

My kids were fearless!  They just jumped right up there and were so brave. They looked so tiny up on top of the ropes course.

Jeff on the zip line.

Alpine Swing

This was scary! I kept telling myself that my kids just did this same thing!

About to zip line across to the other mountain!

Harper and Brody weren't quite heavy enough so they wore weight vests.  The weight vests helped get them across the zip line but they still stopped a little too short. Thankfully the counselors went out and rescued, them.

The kids had so much fun playing outside all day everyday!  Thankful for cooler Colorado temps.

Monday night they put on a carnival for the kids.

Colorado Bound

Just 6 days after we got home from our Florida road trip, we packed up and headed to Colorado.  We secured a last minute spot to go to Sky Ranch Family Camp at the Ute Trail in Colorado.  Everything about family camp was amazing!  There are only 12 families per session so it's small and our little family was loved on so well.
Here we go again! This time heading West.

Walker took his CFA binoculars and started looking for bears as soon as we left DFW.

We stopped in Walsenburg, CO to spend the night on our way.

Sic em Bears!

Our bed and breakfast had a cute little patio where we ate dinner.  There was live music as well.

Jackets in August - Yes Please!

Sunday we enjoyed a yummy breakfast at our b&b and then slowly made our way to camp.  We couldn't check in until 4 p.m. that day so we were able to stop in some small towns on the way and explore.

Lunch at the Salty Dog Cafe

There was a little mining town where we took a tour of an underground mine.

We found a waterfall on our way.

The scenery was absolutely beautiful the entire drive through Colorado.

We made it to Sky Ranch and checked into our cabin,  It was amazing and we were excited to spend the week there.

This was the view from our porch.

August!

After we got home from the beach we enjoyed a few days of catching up with friends and playing.

Art day at church.

This kid.... Harper likes to think that she has a little sister because she is always doing his hair.

Back to school shopping.
