Visit With Santa

I met Amanda and her kids down at Bass Pro Shop last week to visit Santa. Thankfully there was no line and my kids jumped right up to talk to the big guy.

After seeing Santa we explored the rest of their winter wonderland that they have set up. The kids loved this reindeer carousel.

They were done with pictures by this point.

Christmas on Main Street

Last Saturday, we took the boys to the Christmas on Main Street parade in Lewisville.  It was a gorgeous day to be outside.
Waiting for the parade.

Writing letters to Santa at the Mercantile.

He wrote that he wanted a saxophone and a drum set.

Dec Week 2

On Monday we found this fun package on our front porch from a "mystery person".  It includes 12 little presents for the kids to open each day leading up to Christmas.  They have had fun opening the present each morning when they all wake up.  So far they have been different pieces that will make up a nativity scene.  Cute idea from a friend.

Harper enjoyed having her friend, Sadie, over after school to play one day.

It's December but the leaves have all just started to fall and it looks more like Fall outside.

The kids preschool set up a Christmas caroling event at a local retirement home.  The kids had fun singing with friends.

More raking leaves

I often finds pictures of this sweet face on my phone.

December Week 1

I can't believe that it's already December. Where has the year gone?
The kids kicked off the Christmas season with a Hanging of the Green service at church. It was Brody's first choir performance and he had so much fun.

We put up our Christmas Tree and for the first year in a really long time I wasn't worried about having a little baby around to destroy it.

We had Jeff's Marcus Staff Christmas Party on Saturday night.

Mimi was here for the week to play with kiddos.

Thankful for a great weather week that allowed us to be outside every afternoon.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day we hosted a few of our family members here at our house.
Aunt Beka and the kids.

Aunt Cyndi always makes fun desserts that the kids love

After lunch we hit the road to San Antonio to see my sister, Carol.

Carol and Andrew moved into a new house just 5 days before we arrived.  They were unpacked and ready to have company already.

These were legos that my dad had when he was a little boy.

My parents stayed at a hotel down the road and the kids enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. It rained the entire time that we were there but we still managed to have lots of fun.

My cousin and Aunt came over for dinner one night and brought sweet little Emma over to play also.

My Dad and his sister, Gail.

Aunt Carol wanted to introduce the kids to Star Wars before the next movie comes out in December

We enjoyed a great weekend in San Antonio with family.

Team Sherman Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving Day we opted to have a little Team Sherman turkey trot instead of driving to an actual event.
Out on the trail.

Had to stop at the playground in the middle of the run
