Zoo Day with Aunt Carol

We are getting our monies worth for our Dallas Zoo Membership.  One day when Aunt Carol was here it was gorgeous weather so we packed up and headed to the zoo.

Brody loves the dinosaur exhibit.  Walker is not a fan.  You might notice the death grip that he has on Carol.

We met new friends there and the boys about the same ages.

The giraffes are my favorite. The baby one is so cute.

My 33rd Birthday

33? What?  When did that happen??
I slipped away with no kids one evening when my sister was here to celebrate my birthday.  Was nice to be able to finish a sentence with my mom and sisters.

We ate at BJ's and enjoyed a super yummy pizzookie trio.

We then celebrated the next night with birthday cake at our house with my family.

Thankful for these three crazies!

Aunt Carol is Here!

My sister, Carol, flew in from Kentucky for a little visit.  Her husband was here on business and she decided to tag along. We surprised Harper by going to eat lunch at school with her.
What a treat for Grandmommy to tag along with us also.
Walker loved watching all of the big kids at lunch.
After we ate lunch with Harper, we went to Black Walnut Cafe to celebrate my birthday.

Daily Life

One recent afternoon we brought home a friend of Harper's from school with us.  They enjoyed playing together and had fun with the dress up clothes.

"There are a billion little rooms inside each of your children that remain locked up, unexplored, and a good question can lead you right inside. A friend sent me this idea yesterday and I had Harper & Brody help me make it.  Check it out here

This kid loves to eat.  He usually eats as much as Harper and sometimes more.

I'm so proud of Harper's reading skills that she has learned this year in Kindergarten.  She went from not reading at the beginning of the year to reading anything and everything that she can get her hands on.  So sweet to read to her little brothers.

Picnic at the Lake

Last Sunday after church our Bible Fellowship class all went to the lake to have a picnic.  The kids had fun with their friends, the dads played sand volleyball, and the moms sat and chatted.  It was a win win for everyone.

Heels and Hills 8 Miler

The awesome folks over at Dallas Athletes Racing put on the Heels and Hills 4 & 8 mile race last weekend in Keller.  I've been working closely with the race directors since December because the race benefited The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society this year. I was the liaison for all things marketing and branding for LLS.  We gave away these fun blinged out hills to the top fundraiser.

Our LLS Ambassador, Candice, spoke at the start line of the race.

I ran the 8 miler and had fun.  Came in 6th in my age group.

Baseball and Bedtime Stories

We have enjoyed some park time in between all of the rain that we have been having.
Last weekend my neighbor did a garage sale and asked if I wanted to throw anything in hers.  Was nice to go through the house and get rid of some junk. Harper and Hope helped on Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon we played a baseball game over at McKinney Boyd.  It was a day game so I took the big kids with me.  We won 9-1.

Daddy even made it home in time for bed time stories.
