Harper's First Triathlon

Harper raced in her first triathlon in September.  The Rock The Park Kids Triathlon was put on by our good buddies over at Dallas Athletes Racing.  They did a fantastic job putting on a super fun race for the kids.  Harper did awesome and was all smiles the whole race.

Getting all set up in Transition before the race

Her "small" cheering section! Ha!

Thankful that Mimi was there to braid her hair.  I really need to learn how to do it.

Ready for the swim

Harper's biggest fans

In the middle lane - getting ready to go.

My plan was to run next to her on the bike course but she took off and I couldn't catch her!  Go Harper Go!

Running towards the finish line.

First stop - donut table!

So proud of Harper.  She trained hard and had fun at the race. Thankful that she is enjoying the same sport that Jeff and I love so much.

Aunt Rhonda and Rylee came to watch also.

Way to go Harper!

Home Away from Home

Since Daddy's home away from home is the baseball field we enjoy dropping by when we can to say hi.  The kids love running around at the field and playing in the batting cages.

Watching practice

Ball Boy

They play this game often - let's see how many times we can dump out the bucket and then fill it up again.

The Boys

While Big Sis is at Kindergarten each day the boys get to play.
Mimi brought donuts one morning for a little breakfast picnic.

This one is a mess and likes to brush his teeth any time he can sneak into the bathroom.

Aunt Rhonda lives close enough now to go over to play!
Walker & Rylee

Mr. Independent likes to make his own lunch when he can.

Backyard picnic lunch.

Wants to do everything that his big brother does.

Marcus Dance Camp & Cheer Camp

Harper attended the Marcus Marquette Dance camp one Saturday and then a few weeks later was Marcus Cheer camp.  These were mini camps and she loved it.  Her buddy Emerson attended with her each time.
At the end of the morning they had a little performance for all of the parents.

The week after cheer camp they invited all of the campers to cheer at a Marcus Freshman Football game.  She had so much fun out on the track with the big girls.

Her favorite part was being lifted up!

Lately

Aunt Beka went on vacation to Australia and she brought back some goodies for the kids. Authentic lifeguard jackets for the boys and a kangaroo shirt for Harper.

The kids enjoy doing yoga videos from you tube while I cook dinner.  Walker even joins in on the fun sometimes or at least he watches and it keeps him out of the kitchen for a few minutes.

The boys are both home on Tuesdays & Thursdays so we enjoy morning walks before it gets too hot.

Harper is loving Kindergarten. She came home with this shirt to wear for field trips.  Crazy to think that I graduated in 2000 and she is the Class of 2027.

The boys like to go to the Marcus Pep Rallies on Friday with daddy.

Harper had her first art project / homework for school.  Guess who ended up finishing it when she got sidetracked.

Brody is enjoying preschool this year.  We carpool every day with his little buddy Carter.  I take Carter every morning and then Karen brings home Brody at 1:30.  It's so nice that I don't have to wake up Walker from his nap to go get Brody. Thankful for friends who we can do life with.

Grandad and Brody enjoyed playing baseball one afternoon.

Working on his Step and Throw that daddy taught him.
