January Catch Up

How is it already February?!?!  January was a blur. Jeff was out of town at baseball conferences 3 out of 4 weekends. 3 out of 5 of us had the FLU (Walker & I escaped). We enjoyed lots of indoor playtime when it was cold and we had a few random warm weather days where we enjoyed being outside.
Walker turned 7 months on January 3rd.  He is still such an easy / happy baby. We did "operation cry it out" in January to see if we could get him sleeping more at night. It worked for the most part.  He still isn't sleeping through the entire night but he has dropped at least one and sometimes 2 feedings.

Brothers

Besides nursing 5-6 times per day he is enjoying eating three meals a day.  I forgot how Messy they are when they first start eating!  He likes all of his baby food purees that I made him as well as bananas, avocado, puffs, ritz crackers, yogurt, applesauce.  Really - there isn't a food that he doesn't like yet.

Harper loves her new bike and we were able to get out the door several times in January for fun bike rides.  With the 2 kids on bikes and Walker in the stroller, it's kind of like herding cats - but we manage.

Jeff, Harper & Brody all got the FLU bug at the beginning of January.  Jeff missed 3 days of school and both kids missed several days also.

They each got new tents for Christmas that they have enjoyed playing with.

Walker loves the Jump & Go! I just move it from door frame to door frame depending on which room we are in.  This is how I get a shower most days.

Another fun bike ride to the park

Much needed haircut for this little guy.

Silly Sock day at school

Papa & Mimi have rented an apartment just down the road from us.  Now they have their own space for when they come to visit.  Mom has been here a lot during the week and it's Fantastic! I love all of the help with the kids.

December Phone Pics

Since it is now February, I guess I should finish blogging about December.
One evening before Christmas we drove out to Texas Motor Speedway and drove through the Parade of Lights "show" that they have.  The kids loved it and we will definitely go back again in the future.

Walker is starting to get into everything now and he enjoyed helping me wrap presents.

Walker's first two teeth popped in before Christmas.

Was so fun to have my two sisters home for Christmas!

The kids love jumping on trampoline at Papa & Mimi's house in Paris.  All of the leaves made it even more fun.

Harper had her first sleepover with Noelle and Walker enjoyed playing with Collin when we went to drop her off.

Grandma Jane is 105

My Great Grandmother lives in Paris and just celebrated her 105th birthday this past week! She lived in my parents guest house up until a few months ago when she moved to an assisted living facility in town.

This one cracks me up!  What it's like trying to take pics with the three kids...

A little better!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jane - what a joy you are to our family.
This is a short clip of Grandma Jane as she was reciting her Bible verses from A-Z for my Dad sitting at the dinner table.

Christmas Morning in Paris

We drove up to Paris on the 24th and arrived just after dinner.
The kids enjoyed waking up at Papa & Mimi's house for Christmas morning.

Walker enjoyed his Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancake on Christmas morning. Not sure if my other 2 had chocolate at 6 months of age - but oh well.

Harper enjoyed riding her new bike.

Aunt Beka pulled out an old unicycle from the garage to see if she could do it.

My sister, Carol, flew in from Louisville on Christmas afternoon.  My grandparents picked her up from the airport and then they all came to Paris. Santa came on the 25th but we opened the rest of the presents on the 26th with everyone there.

Harper really enjoys doing these lego sets now.

Handmade gifts are the best

They both got new suitcases to make traveling more fun!
