Fun day with Anna Lou

The weather was very nice during Spring Break which allowed us to continue our hunt of new parks in our area. On Wednesday, Anna Lou came to visit for the day.  They were neighbors of ours in McKinney and dear friends.  They are moving to West Texas so her parents were spending the day packing the house.  We are so sad to see them go but so excited to see what the Lord does with their precious family.  Anna and Harper have been friends since they were babies.

After the park we headed to Chuck E. Cheese's for some pizza and games.

These girls were serious about their games.  They only wanted to do the games that gave them tickets at the end.  So funny!

Daddy had to "help" them "win lots of tickets."

First District Game

Last week was Spring Break.  Daddy still had baseball but no school.  We enjoyed having him around a little more than usual.  Tuesday night we headed up to Denton for the first district game.  We were 14 - 1 going in to District and ranked 3rd in the state! I'm getting smarter about what to take to these games..especially when they start at 7:30 p.m. (normal bedtime).

Harper enjoyed playing on her leap pad and recording and taking photos of the game.

Once the sun went down it was pretty chilly but we managed to stay warm.

Granny Sherman was here for the week and enjoyed watching the game with us.

Harper and her new friend Mallory.

I think this was around 9:30.  They look like they are both about to fall asleep.

Our pitcher threw a no hitter.  Which apparently is a big deal.

Another win for Daddy and his Team!

Frisco's Tournament of Champions

Last weekend was another tournament for our Marcus Marauders.  This time we headed back to Frisco for a few games.  We played Centennial which is where Jeff coached for the past 5 years.  It was very strange to be back at that field but wearing my Marcus gear.

Harper's usual stance in the stands "GO MARCUS"

Was strange being the VISITOR at our old field. Yes we beat the Titans!

Jeff, #26, doing what he does best. Coaching his kids.

We beat Plano then went on to win the whole tournament

Go Marcus!

An Afternoon Game

The first few weeks of baseball season include tournaments which means a few day games.  These are nicer than the typical 7:30 p.m. start time of District games.  We made the trek back over to Frisco a few weeks ago for a fun Thursday afternoon game.

A little fist bump from daddy

I came prepared with lots of snacks and they did great.

Harper is giving up her afternoon naps so she is usually very tired by about 4 p.m. (hence the laying on the concrete)

This was another win in the books. Go Marcus.

Spring Weather

I'm catching up with photos. Spring weather is starting to pop out around here.  One afternoon we pulled out the sidewalk chalk and the kids went to town. They might have gotten more on them than the ground.

We hope this warmer weather is here to stay.
