Droogsma Gender Reveal Party

My college friend and bestie, Natalie, is pregnant with their first and due just 2 days before me.  It's so fun to go through this pregnancy with her and can't wait for our kids to be friends.  Her sister in law hosted a fun gender reveal party for them.  They had gone to the Dr. a few days before and had him write down the gender in an envelope. Then they had to wait patiently for the party to arrive so they could find out along with the rest of us.

They had mustaches and lips that you used to guess what the gender was. We skyped in Emily from Nashville.  Before the big reveal our guesses were 3 girls to 2 boys.

The anticipation was killing Natalie.

Yeah it's a BOY!

Elisa just had baby Colin at the end of December and Natalie and I are both due 2 days apart with our boys.  So fun that we are all having boys so close together.

We think our boys will be future Baylor Roommates.

This party was actually a few days before we found out the gender of our baby. I asked Harper to guess what she thought our baby was and she of course guessed girl.

Unfortunately for her, she was wrong and won't have a little sister.  It's another brother for her.

Such a sweet time with dear friends!

It's a Boy

I don't think that I've actually blogged about this yet but I'm pregnant with our third child.  I found out the week that we moved to Flower Mound.  I just couldn't figure out why I was so exhausted and wanted to go to bed at 7 p.m. every night.  At first I chalked it up to packing a house, moving, and unpacking with 2 kiddos "helping".  But then realized that it was more than that.  I'm due June 8th - just in time for baseball season to be over for the school year.   The timing on this one was a little better than our first two. Harper was born the day before the first football game and Brody was born half way through the season. Let's just say that made for a v.e.r.y. long football season that year.
We found out last week that this one is a BOY!

We are really excited and can't wait to meet the 5th member of Team Sherman.

I don't think that Miss Priss will have any problem keeping 2 little brothers in line.

Superhero Harper

Last weekend Harper attended a Superhero birthday party for her classmate Wyatt.  His mom made these adorable costumes for each child.  They had fun doing obstacles and games and earning different pieces to their costume.

PajamaMamaRama

Last night Harper and I attended PajamaMamaRama at our new church.  It is a special night for preschool and kindergarten girls and their mommies. We had lots of fun. The theme was Candy Land and the decorations and activities were all great.

Pizza with new friends

A little gingerbread house making

A "real life ballerina" danced and then taught all of the girls a little dance.  The mommies got to learn a few steps as well.

Making chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles

Who needs bedtime when you have a bounce house at 9:30 p.m.?!?

A little tired??

What a fun mommy daughter night?

Showing daddy her apron and gingerbread house that she made.

Love making sweet memories with this little princess.

Cutrell Family Christmas 2012

I have one last post to catch up on from Christmas.  Every year since I can remember my dad's side of the family always gets together for Christmas and one of our traditions is acting out the nativity story with all of the kids.  I have such fond memories of this from growing up.  Now all of my cousins are starting to have kids so we have a new set of actors and actresses. We have used the same costumes for YEARS!
Getting everyone ready.

Brody was fine with the costume until the play actually started then he refused to keep it on.

Levi insisted on being the angel

Getting the narrator all set up.

We needed a few adults to stand in for some missing pieces so Aunt Beka graciously played a wise man.

Harper was Mary did great but Brody stripped out of his costume on the way to the "stage".

After the play we enjoyed some wonderful food and fellowship.

After dinner another favorite tradition is gathering around the piano for Aunt Ruth to play Christmas songs.
