Paris Getaway

With the house on the market and Jeff out of town, the kids and I have been in Paris for a few days.  We have enjoyed lots of swimming in the back yard.

Playing with all of my old Barbie dolls. This definitely brought back some fun memories of playing with my sisters for hours with these.

More swimming

Our little daredevil decided to jump off the diving board backwards.  She managed to bust open her chin, bite 2 holes in her tongue and scrap up her arms pretty good. Thankfully Papa came to the rescue and was able to use steri strips to tape her chin up instead of doing stitches.

My parents have a railroad track near their house.  There was a train parked at the crossing for a while so we went over to check it out.

Papa giving her a lesson on how train tracks work

My Mama lives in Paris now so it was fun to have her at the house to visit with.

Jeff drove in on Saturday night from A&M and was here on Sunday then left again at 5 a.m. this morning to go back to A&M.  The kids enjoyed a short visit with him in between his camps. Of course they had to play a little bit of baseball.

Thank you to Papa & Mimi for being such gracious hosts.

Homemade Popsicles

Jeff has been out of town working the A&M baseball camp for the past few days so I packed the kids and headed to Paris. Harper found my mom's old Popsicle molds. So why not make Popsicles at 8 a.m.??

Yummy!

No Longer a Titan

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind.  June 6th Jeff interviewed for the head baseball coach position at Flower Mound Marcus High School (his alma matter). June 7th Jeff was offered the job and accepted it.  We put our house on the market on June 18th while we were on a week long vacation to the beach.  We received an offer on the first day for full price.  Seemed too good to be true. We accepted the offer and signed the contract while we were on vacation.  When we returned from the beach we spent 3 days looking at houses in the Flower Mound area.  We found one that we were ready to put an offer on and then our buyers backed out on day 9 of their 10 day option period.  Ugh - so our house went back on the market and thankfully we had not placed our offer yet. We are still playing the waiting game and trying to wait for the right buyer to come.  It's pretty stressful trying to keep the house clean with two kids running around and doing their thing. We have spent lots of time away from the house playing with friends and eating at Chick-fil-A to attempt to keep the house clean.
Jeff hit the ground running at Marcus by working a few of their camps, having meetings with his new assistant coaches, booster club, administrators, etc.
We have enjoyed the last 5 years as a Centennial Titan family but are so excited for this next step in Jeff's career.

Weekend at the Lake

Last weekend Jeff and I headed out to the lake with our friends.  Thanks to Aunt Beka and Grandad Sherman who split the time with the kids.   Natalie's family has a fantastic lake house on Richland Chambers Lake in East Texas.  My college roomates and I have been out several times to the lake house but this was the first time that we took our husbands. We enjoyed swimming, eating, talking, playing outdoor games, relaxing, and sleeping in.

Love that you can see all of the stars over the lake

Loved our weekend away from the city.
Thanks to Charlie for taking all of the awesome photos. Check him out if you need a professional photographer for your family or event.

Frisco Sci-Tech Discovery Center

Last week we meet up with a few friends at the Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco.  It was our first time to visit and the kids had a great time doing a little hands on learning.

They had this cool display of sports equipment and balls all cut in half.  I learned what the inside of all of the different balls looks like.

We had a great time and I highly recommend it for anyone with young kids who lives in the North Cities area.
