Harper's Christmas Party

Thursday was the last day of "school" for Harper and Brody for the year.  I attended the Christmas parties and Christmas Chapel.  Both kids have come home with some really cute art projects lately like this sweatshirt below that is Harper's foot print and hand prints making an angel.

Listening to Mrs. Beth and getting ready for their book exchange

It's been a great year so far for both kids.  Their teachers are awesome!

Story time with Santa

Earlier this week we headed to story time with Santa at A Real Bookstore. We met Ashley and her kids there and they all enjoyed it.

After story time Santa gave out hugs and cookies.

Rather than pay the $15 for the professional picture I think I'll just let these count for this year's pic with Santa.

Brody was not so sure but I snapped the pic before he started crying.

We are still working on the "don't choke your brother hug".

Christmas Parade of Lights

Tonight we went to the McKinney Parade of Lights.  It is a Christmas parade but they do it at night so every float is illuminated with lights.  Harper loved it!

Yes that is a tractor / front end loader holding up the manger scene!

Aunt Beka came up to hang out with us tonight.

Brody loved clapping and waving to everyone.

A Little Gingerbread House

Harper and a few friends enjoyed making gingerbread houses today.

Brody and Preston - little buddies.

Our attempt at a group pic before the gingerbread house making.  The whole in the couch line up was for Sean and Graham who weren't interested in the picture taking. I'm still working on the "don't choke your brother hug" with Harper.

Harper was more interested in eating the candy than decorating the house with it.

The big kids with their finished projects

We got together with this same group last year to do this.  Fun to see what a difference one year makes.

17 more days

It's only 17 more days until Christmas.  Take some time each day to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Tried to take a few pics before church on Sunday

It's rare to get a photo of both kids looking at the camera at the same time.

Cinderella!

Harper's sweet friend Elle turned 3 last week and had a Cinderella themed party.  Cinderella actually attended the party and led the girls in all sorts of fun activities. First they started off with a little dancing.
Then Cinderella led them on a treasure hunt.

Harper loved when Cinderella put a little make up her.

Elle and her mommy, Mindy.

Why of course we had to have a princess parade down the street.

My little helpers

Sometimes getting chores done around the house takes a little longer than they used to with these two little helpers.
