Fun at the Fountains

Last week we headed over to play at the fountains at the Village of Fairview.  This was our first time to go  and Harper had a great time. Last summer she wasn't too fond of splash parks so I wasn't sure how she would do.

We plan to make many more trips here this summer.  It's free, close, and fun!

Jessica's Wedding

Last weekend we all headed up to Paris for Jessica & Bryan's wedding.  Jessica and I have known each other for forever. Bryan grew up in Paris also and went to school with us since preschool.

Papa was there to help wrangle the kiddos

We were all born one week apart from each other and have been friends our entire life.

Getting ready

The wedding started at 6 p.m. but we had to be at the church by 4 for pictures. Harper normally eats dinner around 5 so we packed her a little picnic. We didn't want to risk getting anything on her dress...

Thanks to Aunt Carol & Andrew for babysitting Brody at home!

Harper got her second wind at the reception and turned into a little dancing machine.

Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Hackney - we love you guys!

Harper & Noelle

When we were in Paris last weekend for Jessica's wedding, Harper had a chance to play with her friend Noelle.  Noelle's mom, Amanda,  and I have been friend forever!  Our parents met in childbirth class and we were born 2 weeks apart!

Harper gave Noelle a wild ride on the swing. She wasn't so sure about it at first and then she warmed up to it.

Fun on the trampoline.

Yes - that is my Dad - the Pediatrician - on the trampoline with them.  I didn't get a pic of him doing flips with the girls!

This is what "Don't touch the bird bath" looks like to a 2 year old.

Lunch in the sunroom.

We came back after a few minutes and they were both laying down eating.

We look forward to many more fun times together.

Lately

A few weeks ago we had a Welcome Back to Texas party for our friends Mike and Elisa. We were friends at Baylor and they have lived in Ohio the past few years. We are excited to have them back.

I didn't get any pics of the adults at the party.

Feeding/ chasing the ducks

This past week we had a few of Harper's friends over to play and had a picnic lunch on our back patio.

Harper loves playing with play dough. As you can see none of the colors are separate anymore, but it still keeps her entertained.

Mum Mum

A friend of mine introduced me to Baby Mum Mums.  They are a little rice cracker / teething biscuit for babies.  I recently gave Brody his first one and at first he wasn't really sure about what to do with it.

It took him a while to figure out that you can eat it.

Ended up eating the whole thing.

End of the Season

The Centennial Titans, Jeff's baseball team, had a great season this year and advanced to the playoffs.  After playing a great game against Highland Park last week, they ended up losing at the last inning.

Good luck kiss before the game.

During the singing of the National Anthem

Harper spent most of the game running around and playing in the batting cages.

Brody made it through the whole game without falling asleep.  I think this pic was about 9 p.m!

The head coach has a 7 year old son named Chance.  Harper followed Chance around all evening wanting him to play with her.

The kids and I actually made it until the end of the game! It was 3 hours past their bedtime by the time we got home but it was fun evening supporting our Titans.

We are so proud of Jeff and his team but we are glad to have Daddy back home a little more.
