I love my feet!

Harper has a fascination with her feet. Every time I lay her down on her back, she puts her feet right in her mouth. This makes changing her diaper especially challenging.
Yum Yum! I love my feet!

First Cereal Video and visit with Great Grandparents

Here's the video of Harper eating cereal for the first time. It took me several times to get this video uploaded.

Yesterday, Harper and I went up to visit my Mama and Papa in Sulphur Springs. Here's a few pics from our visit. Harper and I are home today relaxing. Jeff had a baseball game last night and another one this afternoon. We can't wait for it to warm up a little bit so Harper and I can go to the games.

100th Post!

Just noticed that this is my 100th post! Can't believe that I've come up with enough things to say 100 different times. Today I took the time to download my video camera onto my computer. I had not done this since November. The videos included everything from Christmas morning to Harper rolling over for the first time to her first cereal. I've tried to upload videos using you tube and I've run into some trouble in the past. This time I'm going to try uploading them through blogger. We will see if it works this time.

Here's Harper's new toy - the Jump & Go. My neighbor was going to sell it in her garage sale - but she asked if I would like it for Harper to try. Harper loves it - check it out.

I can't get the other videos to upload right now so stay tuned.

More fun time with Papa & Mimi

Well, I decided to come up to Paris again this weekend. Jeff had a baseball game Thursday and Friday night. Then he has a football conference all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Yes - a football conference on Valentine's day! That was bad planning on someones part! He won't even get home until after 10pm on Saturday night. I'm so thankful that we live close enough to my parents that I can just jump in the car and be there in less than 2 hours. For the most part, Harper is a great traveler. She normally just falls asleep in her car seat and wakes up once the cars stops moving and we have arrived. Mimi was so glad to get to spend another few days with Harper. Helping my mom cook - she is learning at an early age.
Last night, Harper and I went with my mom to her Women's ministry event at their church. It was a sweet time of worship, teaching and fellowship. This morning my dad had the privilege of feeding Harper her cereal. This was only the second time that she had eaten it. My dad is a pro - he knew to make it much thicker than when I did it yesterday. She cleaned her bowl this morning. I think that she really likes this new taste.

First Cereal!

Harper is still not sleeping through the night. Getting up every 3-4 hours at night is starting to take its toll on me. I seem to be tired all day long. I've decided that she just love to eat! I mean - have you seen her cheeks lately. Well, my dad suggested that we try to feed her some rice cereal before bedtime to fill her up a little more. To be honest, I was a reluctant to start the cereal because it adds a whole new dimension to feeding. Up until now, I've just been breastfeeding and it's easy, fast, clean and portable. Once you start with the cereal and other foods, feeding times become much messier and longer. Oh well - you have to start some time. I waited for Jeff to get home at a decent hour so he could help me feed her. The first time that I mixed the cereal I did exactly as the box said - 1 tbsp. cereal to 4-5 tbsp. water. This made for very runny cereal which was a challenge to get into her mouth without pouring it all over her. She also wanted to "help" by grabbing the spoon each time. She seemed to like it from the very beginning. She knows when the camera is on her!
My favorite pic!
All done and Happy!
The bib when we were all done.
She went straight to the bath tub after this. Harper had cereal in her hair, ears, nose, etc... We will try this again tomorrow.

Weekend in Paris

Sorry that it's been an entire week since my last post. It's been a busy week. I started a Wednesday morning bible study for Moms at church. I'm super excited to get to meet mid week with other moms to fellowship and dig deep into the word. Thursday morning Harper and I headed up to Paris to spend a few days with my parents. (I love working part time!) Jeff is at the beginning of baseball season and has a lot of early mornings and late nights. I was able to just relax at my parents house while they played with Harper for two days! Here are a few of the fun pics from our visit to Paris. Hanging out in the sun room with her Great Great Grandma Jane!Eating breakfast with Papa. He says that he was teaching her how to eat cereal "like a man"! Notice how big that bowl is!Harper has figured out how to take her paci out of her mouth. She is still trying to figure out how to get it back in right!
She wanted to give her paci to me.
Have I mentioned before that everything goes straight to her mouth??!!On Saturday afternoon, we drove back from Paris to Frisco for our little Miss Abigail's 2nd birthday party. She got this cute wagon and decided that she wanted to take Harper for a ride.
Enjoying the birthday party!
What a fun few days!

Fun Weekend

This weekend was a busy one filled with friends, family, and fellowship. On Friday, my mom came over to "play" for the day. We spent time shopping up at Stonebriar in Frisco then met Jeff for dinner. On Saturday morning, I had to get up way too early for a work event - 4:45 am. The weather was so nice on Saturday (75 degrees!) that I took Harper to a new park that I just discovered in Wylie. We met my cousin and her two kids at the park. Harper enjoyed swinging with my cousin Diana. On Saturday evening, we went down to Dallas to one of my other cousin's house for his birthday party. Harper had to show off her new fun head band that I picked up on Friday. Brad and Crystal had a late Christmas present for Harper. It's a UT onesie - so cute! I didn't go to UT but the entire Cutrell family has Orange blood running through and through.

Today we went to church this morning then had lunch with Jeff's dad. This evening we went to the McDonough's house for a Superbowl watching party with our Bible Fellowship class. I don't think that I watched 1 minute of the game. I was too busy eating and talking to all of the ladies. Whew - what a weekend!
